Rigotz Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 http://www.nbcsports.com/boston/new-england-patriots/stephon-gilmore-makes-several-crucial-mistakes-in-new-england-patriots-loss-to-carolina-panthers I rarely ever root against former Bills, but Gilmore was an exception. Always pouting on the field ... always getting national media attention for being "elite" ... never producing. Looks like he's still up to his "elite" ways in Boston as well: FOXBORO -- If Stephon Gilmore was looking for a smooth transition from Buffalo to New England, he’s out of luck. The Patriots' newest and most expensive cornerback has found himself at the center of a maelstrom. Week after week, every time you look up, it’s Gilmore who is either getting beat for a big play, in the general vicinity of a big play, or getting flagged for critical penalties that extend eventual scoring drives.
dollars 2 donuts Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I don't revel in what is going on with him now. I revel in a team I hate, suffering because everyone thought they were geniuses for signing him for $65 million, and not having it work out.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I actively root against him and was glad we let him go. Let him point his finger and turn back to look at the patriot safeties now.

aristocrat Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 i've thought his communication always seems to be off. like he doesn't pay attention to the play or something
Jerry Jabber Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 They won the offseason, you know. And they're humble. +1 Right now, everything is on Brady's shoulders to win games. Once Gronk gets injured (as he usually does) as well as others, they will look even more vulnerable.
chris heff Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I don't know Stephon Gilmore. I have no reason to wish him ill will, other than the fact that he plays for the Patriots. I've often thought that at some point the moves Belichick makes would catch up with him. I think he believes it is he and he alone responsible for that teams success. I hope they continue to lose. I hope moves like signing Gilmore put them in cap hell. I hope Brady gets sick of losing and retires.
Jerry Jabber Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 i've thought his communication always seems to be off. like he doesn't pay attention to the play or something The last two years, people could say it was due to Rex's overly complicated defense. This year, there's no excuses.
vorpma Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Another wasted draft choice from 17 years of poor scouting, drafting, coaching, and Front Office performance.
cd1 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 (edited) This is NOT going to get better. THIS is who Gilmore has always been. He will now be targeted by opposing teams. HE is the current "CHINK" in the Patriots armor. Belicheat must have been experiencing early onset dementia. Edited October 3, 2017 by cd1
Buffalo_Stampede Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Surprised Belichick doesn't just let Gilmore play press man and leave him on an island. That's how he plays best. Trying to get him to mix up coverages and play zone is asking for trouble.

Well if they are going to start losing I would rather keep playing, progressively getting worse and tarnish his image, or go to the Colts and try to revive his career...something tells me that is unlikely.
HappyDays Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I'm happy for him. His people can see him on TV, in the paper, on the internet. It's what he's always wanted.
bmur66 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Gilmore is a shutdown corner and great tackler too. Hahahahahahahahahah
KGun12TD Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 WAIT!!! Bill Bellicheat is NOT a GENIUS? WHOA!!!
dollars 2 donuts Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 They won the offseason, you know. And they're humble. Exactly.
Doc Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I didn't have a personal problem with him until this. Now I'm glad to see him struggle. But he's still making $13M/year and has $40M guaranteed.
Yobogoya! Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 But I thought the Patriots had better Bills players than the Bills do?
Forward Progress Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I just watched a replay of the Pats* game last night. Gilmour is still the same Gilmour. Every time there is a tackle to be made in his area and another Patriot nearby as well, he backs off and lets someone else do the dirty work. He likes keep his jersey clean.
