LA Grant Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I like Mike Tolbert as the change of pace back, and he's a great role player. I'm happy with DiMarco as FB. But you can't have only those 3 dressed. Hopefully they add a guy this week because if Shady goes down for any length of time, we can't rely on Tolbert alone. DeAngelo Williams is available...
PIZ Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Definitely need another back. Atlanta's combo was nice and made me jealous.
KennyDavisEyes Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Why didn't T. Jones take the snap at tailback instead of DiMarco? That's the question. That was a big snap and DiMarco was out of his element. Edited October 2, 2017 by KennyDavisEyes
BADOLBILZ Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Assuming Matthews is out I'd guess that they will activate Banyard or give Taiwan some carries because they are going to need some more playmaking ability with the already feeble WR corps further diminished.
Jamie Nails Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Just re-up JWill off of the Denver practice squad
Willyville Guy Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Agree. There was a series when Shady came out with a wrist, then Tolbert was banged up and came out after the next play, and I quickly became uncomfortable. They ought to be able to find someone to come in for a look. What's Trent Richardson up to? Edited October 2, 2017 by Willyville Guy
NewMexBills Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 We should call in JWILL would rather him over Tolbert! We can use better play from McCoy aso
ThunderGun Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) If Ryan Matthews can pass a physical, he needs to be on the roster tomorrow... edit - Just read he had a neck injury, but passed a physical before Philly released him. He and D'Angelo would be on my short list. If they saw that much of J Will and decided not to keep him, then I'm all set with him too... This staff had seen him all TC, and determined he just wasn't worth a roster spot. Maybe Banyard can be our McKissic. All I know is Dimarco should never touch the football. billsfan89 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 No idea why J-Will is not on the roster. I get the special teams angle but he filled the role of primary backup to Shady very well.
Boatdrinks Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 They need an RB 2 basically. Not just depth but a rotational RB and passable backup to McCoy
NewMexBills Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 They need an RB 2 basically. Not just depth but a rotational RB and passable backup to McCoy JWILL was our NO.2 RB! No reason to play Tolbert other then 2-4 rush per gm.
Buffalo716 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I think McDermott honestly really likes Tolbert in a 4 quarter role. As fans it's nauseating... But as a coach i can see why he does it. He really does grind the defense down slowly and some nice holes were opening late in the game because we grinded them down It would be nice to have another viable running threat though
Dr.Sack Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Add a guy like Fred Jackson who can do a little bit of everything and even play ST.
Bronxbomber21 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 It's crazy that they think just having 2 backs on the game day roster is ok and (Tolbert) is really a goal line/ fullback just look at what happened in the Packers game this week. Is Barnhard so bad on special teams that's the can't dress him?
Webster Guy Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 they will just activate the BarnYardDawg. He can represent. Beane is taking the trendy "any back will do" approach, and staying thin at rb until the need arises to bring in more depth. I wonder what Beane would have done with the TD Mike tender. I think Whaley/overdorf screwed up there. They gave Dareus 16m per year but wouldnt pay Mike G 2 million.

They should have signed Blount!...He had a monster game yesterday for Philly
