MarlinTheMagician
Like a mofo. You know, all the Sammy missing Robert Woods would have been more affordable and he blocks well in run game. Would have liked to have him with Matthews and Zay! Plus he is crazy.Any word on Cordy today? Game time decision?
CanadianFan
If the shoe were on the other foot I can't imagine anyone giving the Bills any props if they had played Green Bay tough and only beat the hapless Browns. In one week the Bengals became better than the Broncos and Falcons. Is it because people really think they are that good or because people expect the Bills to turn back into pumpkins eventually? This is exactly what is going on with every Bills forum out there. I've seen and heard enough from McD to believe this week is simply business as usual with this team. If Gaines, Humber and Matthews are out, it's simply next man up. They will game plan to the strengths of who's available not who's missing. This isn't like losing Julio Jones during a game, they've had all week to plan. This is a classic case of fans having been disappointed so many time that it's better to expect the worst and therefor not be once again betrayed. This one won't even be close. Yeah there are two schools of thought on this game, and neither is wrong. It IS natural for a team to have a let down after emotional wins. It isn't just Bills. Most teams do this. And that's where REALLY GOOD coaching comes in. This is the MENTAL & EMOTIONAL aspect of a team's preparation. Does McDermott have the ability to keep a team on an even keel after wins or losses. Does he motivate well. So this isn't even about win or loss. This is a test of McDermott's ability as a coach on the mental and emotional preparation of a team. In my opinion, that's what every championship winning coaches possess - that ability to prepare them emotionally and mentally. This is WHY BILLS LOST THE LAST 3 SUPERBOWLS they were in. Mental and emotional preparation was crap. Right now, the entire team has bought into him as a coach. He's the undisputed conductor in every Bills' mind. Let's see how he wields that wand. It ISN'T the result that matters in this game. It is the consistency of EFFORT in every phase of the game that matters. I want to see both players and coaches show up for this game. If they lost despite a good effort, and good game planning, it's a win IMO. That's the quality of a coach that can bring a championship. If they lost because players were lethargic or play calling / game planning was predictable or lousy, then that's a tell on McDermott as a coach - he didn't prepare them mentally and emotionally despite having their full attention. This game is more about McDermott than anything else.

Don't know about Cordy, but Robert Woods may be the finest down-field blocking WR I have ever seen in the NFL. The guy enjoys blocking and is looking for plays to make contact on. Fadingpain
This is Buffalo's chance to make the Bengals the laughing stock of the league again.... Well, at least contribute to it. You know, make things normal again. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

GunnerBill
Banyard is active. John Miller is not. Ducasse starting at RG. Hmm. Miller hasn't been on the injury report has he? Suggests he has been dropped. I don't like it but without question Miller has struggled... more in run than pass oddly enough.

PromoTheRobot
So four weeks is enough for you? To wipe out seventeen years of being let down. You have a very rosy outlook. I'm sure we all hope your assessment is close to the truth. Forgive those of us who realize we don't exactly have anyone at the helm with the pedigree of say, Belichick to fall back on. The roster is thin. The WR corps is weak. The team has gotten some fortunate bounces that you just can't automatically expect. The Bills aren't going 15-1 this year. A road game vs a team with a losing record could be harder to keep ones focus than a game vs a Super Bowl team. The Bengals went to OT vs Rodgers and most NFL games are close. That's probably a more realistic expectation than the Bills blowing anyone out at this point. Correct. I believe they've won 5 of the last six in " the jungle" overall. Just historical perspective. Well how much sense does it make hanging the last 17 years on a team where nearly everyone from players, front office, coaches and owner weren't even here for most of it?
