JimKelly12 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Didn't it seem like Atlanta had TONS of open seats all throughout the game? At times only looking 1/2 to 1/4 full?
Do The Reich Thing Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 You aren't wrong. Crowd was weak with crowd noise all game too.
unbillievable Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It's the Mercedes Benz shopping mall and football stadium. Fans are complaining that there are more people shopping than in their seats watching the game.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It's well known that Atlanta isn't a great sports town.
Helpmenow Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It's well known that Atlanta isn't a great sports town.what is there too much to do like San Diego. bS
CLTbills Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I mentioned that to my wife, too. You'd at least think the brand new stadium would bring a bunch of hype, at least for the first couple home games... and considering they're the defending NFC champs. I know ATL isn't a football town, but still.... I was shocked.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I was there. In the first quarter it was about 50% capacity. At most it got to be about 65% later in the game.
Helpmenow Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I was there. In the first quarter it was about 50% capacity. At most it got to be about 65% later in the game. they thought this was an easy win but bet over the bills
Cynical Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It's well known that Atlanta isn't a great sports town. Maybe not the sports you like. However, college football reigns supreme.
Perry Turtle Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Maybe everyone was lined up outside the Chick-fil-a, waiting for it to open.
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 the place holds like 100,000 doesn't it?
unbillievable Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Maybe everyone was lined up outside the Chick-fil-a, waiting for it to open. Someone could make a killing buying chick-fil-a sandwiches on Saturday and selling them on Sunday. It's a one day Monopoly!
Helpmenow Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 the place holds like 100,000 doesn't it?71,000 I thought I saw on the tube
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I was there. In the first quarter it was about 50% capacity. At most it got to be about 65% later in the game. Which weirdo were you? Noticeable blue presence
jimmy10 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 My buddy who is a Falcons season ticket holder explained it thusly: There are so many great bars and amenities and places to stand around watching the game that nobody actually goes to their seats.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 There seemed to be a large empty area around the 40 - 30 Ithought maybe people were late from half time but they remained empty
bobobonators Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 My buddy who is a Falcons season ticket holder explained it thusly: There are so many great bars and amenities and places to stand around watching the game that nobody actually goes to their seats. Thats the exact impression I get. Too much to see in the stadium so people wander.
Fadingpain Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 You can't complain when you build a "stadium" that attracts people who aren't football fans, and then those people don't actually bother to watch the game. 71,000 I thought I saw on the tube Yes, capacity for American football is 71,000, though expandable to 83,000.
