HappyDays Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 That's such a laughable thought and narrative we had to deal with. "Tyrod is a RB playing QB"
K-9 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 All QBs leave plays on the field. All of them. Absolutely. My point was that TT managed to achieve that high rating in spite of that.
MAJBobby Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Had another good game. Two in a Row. Keep the consistency up. Has some drops that hurt him. And airmailed a few as well.
LABILLBACKER Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Factor in some obvious drops and that rating would be higher. Tyrod is really stepping up his game this season. That scramble bomb to Clay was a thing of beauty.
K-9 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yaeh, like that pass to Jones he dropped in the bucket and the rookie couldn't haul it in again? No, that wasn’t one of them. Jones left that play on the field.
HappyDays Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 His ability to protect the ball is so underrated. A single bad TO in each game we've won could have meant a loss instead. Jets included.
DisplacedBillsFan Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 So what do we do with all of our draft picks if Taylor becomes "the guy"? WR, OL, MLB...in that order?
MarlinTheMagician Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Beat me to the QBR post. He was in command start to finish. I can only remember one bad throw. We have our QB people. Couple fast linebackers, a true #1 wideout, couple OL, maybe a Fournette type back to spell Shady in his golden years. Some of this and we are ready for the show! Don't need a TE btw. So happy for Taylor.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) Matt Ryan 3 turnovers Tyrod Taylor 0 turnovers Edited October 1, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
BringBackOrton Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Everyone except Brady and Rodgers regularly leave a lot of plays on the field every day. I'm sure the All-22 will be very unkind to Matt Ryan. TT going through 3 reads to find Holmes for the first was a beauty.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Matt Ryan 3 turnovers Tyrod Taylor 0 turnovers Matty Ice-cold.
grb Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 All QBs leave plays on the field. All of them. Thank you. It's amazing some people don't understand this.
transplantbillsfan Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 And he STILL left a number of plays on the field. His TD pass was his best play of the season though. Yeah this week Taylor missed a couple throws/plays he should have made. But he also had a few drops... AGAIN!!! Jones needs to get out of his own head.
GunnerBill Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) I thought there was more good than bad today. Solid B grade from me. Did what he needed to do to contribute to a huge team win. Edited October 1, 2017 by GunnerBill
transplantbillsfan Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I really don't see how anyone can not say Tyrod played very good if not great today. The difference was clearly turnovers. Taylor's game was definitely good, but last week was clearly better.
HappyDays Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yeah this week Taylor missed a couple throws/plays he should have made. But he also had a few drops... AGAIN!!! Jones needs to get out of his own head. He had a good catch on the comeback route. Hopefully he builds off it.
klos63 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I don't know, on one hand I still don't think that Taylor is the (long term) answer in Buffalo. But he does have some unique ability that most other NFL QB's simply don't have. Just wish the guy could hit some of these of the wide open throws that he seems to wildly overthrow. Almost like he is shell shocked when guys are so open and overthinks things. His ability to run for first downs and the fact that he doesn't turn the ball over are 2 things that put him above most QB's ,and the value he gives there is hard to overstate.
Kirby Jackson Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Tyrod is really good. He plays with TRASH. I'm coming around on him. It's him, Shady and Clay. The rest of that offense is painful with Glenn out.
Rockinon Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Saw some designed runs for Tyrod and I didn't like them because they just didn't work. Those kind of plays work better when he runs in the opposite direction as Shady. Nobody had to break any ankles to tackle Tyrod for a loss.
