YoloinOhio Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 (edited) For those who watch these things - how has Matthews been as a blocker? I read that one reason AP had so much success vs TB last week was because Larry Fitzgerald blocked like a mofo in the run game. Edited October 18, 2017 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted October 18, 2017 Author Posted October 18, 2017 @MatthewFairburn Jordan Matthews is on the field at Bills practice with both receiver gloves on. We'll see if tries to catch some footballs. @MatthewFairburn Update: Jordan Matthews just caught a football.
Mat68 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I never thought this would be the case but he is probably the most important player for the offense. Seems to have a knack for making plays and doesn't need alot of opportunities to be successful. His presence hopefully help take some burden off Zay Jones and let him grow. The team desperately needs for jones mature into a pro Wr. I feel like i have said the same thing regarding him every week thus far.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 18, 2017 Author Posted October 18, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia #Bills WR Jordan Matthews is catching passes again @JaySkurski Jordan Matthews looks good going through individual drills, catching everything coming his way. Bodes well for his availability Sunday. @JoeBuscaglia Another rep from #Bills WR Jordan Matthews

PolishDave Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia Another rep from #Bills WR Jordan Matthews Why does this remind me of Forest Gump? Looks like he is about to run right out off the field and keep running!
transplantbillsfan Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Looks like he'll be back. That would really help. I really hope this doesn't mean that McDermott decides to make one of the WRs inactive.
eball Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Matthews potentially coming back plus the addition of Thompson gives the offense a whole new look this week, which will be needed with Clay out.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Matthews potentially coming back plus the addition of Thompson gives the offense a whole new look this week, which will be needed with Clay out. It won't take much to give this offense a whole new look. Let's hope.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia WR Jordan Matthews is practicing again today #Bills
Doc Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Awesome again. Shot that sucker up with local and get out there!
John from Riverside Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Matthews potentially coming back plus the addition of Thompson gives the offense a whole new look this week, which will be needed with Clay out. I love Thompson coming back because it gives us a speed/deep threat on the field we havent had all season except Clay We cant stretch defenses horizontally every play....sometimes you need to do it vertically
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia McDermott says WR Jordan Matthews has not taken as many team reps as they would have liked this week. #Bills
The Wiz Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia McDermott says WR Jordan Matthews has not taken as many team reps as they would have liked this week. #Bills Assuming "as many" being "all of them", that's still a positive.
BillnutinHouston Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 @JoeBuscaglia McDermott says WR Jordan Matthews has not taken as many team reps as they would have liked this week. #Bills Smokescreen. He's playing I believe.
Patrick Duffy Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Smokescreen. He's playing I believe. Yes, he will play. Of course.
BeginnersMind Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 The issue has little to do with catching. Catching is easy. It's the blocking and falling where the doctors would be most worried. That's where he would extend and torque the ligament. Probably why we aren't hearing anything about Humber.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 @SalSports McDermott on Jordan Matthews: "A little bit ahead of schedule. Still one day at a time. Did some good things today on a limited basis, but so far, so good."
