DriveFor1Outta5 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 So many so fast to run a young guy out of town. He was stumbling, but that should have been caught. Still, waaay too early to be so harsh on the guy. It's too early too call him a bust, but it's not unfair to say that the stage is too big for him right now. Second round receivers do make plays as rookies. He's just really struggling right now, hopefully it's just temporary.
Jasovon Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Looked like Jerry was held on that play holding all day, need to win despite it.
Woodman19 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Zay is frustrating right now but he's still adjusting to the NFL speed and spacing. Not all rookies are fully ready in year 1.
Billznut Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 He's constantly in the backfield...And?? Making tackles for losses, sacks? Hes not nearly the player he was 3-4 years ago.
Fadingpain Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Zay is frustrating right now but he's still adjusting to the NFL speed and spacing. Not all rookies are fully ready in year 1. What other excuses do you have in your bag of excuses today?
TheFunPolice Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Zay is within inches of a few huge plays It will click. He's getting open. Hands are only part of a catch. Need body control too
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I'm cool if Zay were making mental mistakes--Route running errors etc. But dropping balls is not really an excuse for a rookie. Rookie or vet-- got to catch the ball.
Chimp Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 He's constantly in the backfield... Most every play he is indeed in the backfield. He is run out of most plays by good tackles this year.

Woodman19 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 What other excuses do you have in your bag of excuses today? I don't even post that much lol
bobobonators Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Why? Bc he slightly bobbled it. Couldve gone either way. We had all time outs. And it was a hige completion. Geeze

I don't disagree that he is struggling, but his college career suggests that the talent is there. Good to have patience with young players.
CanadianFan Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Zay is within inches of a few huge plays It will click. He's getting open. Hands are only part of a catch. Need body control too a few inches? the BALL WAS IN HIS HANDS!
Dragonborn10 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Zay needs to stop crying and catch the dam ball. He is fast on his way to being Perry Tuttle
KRT88 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Amazing reading all these reactionary posts. Zay Jones is a rookie, he doesn't suck but he is struggling doing his job at this point. Guy needs to start making some difficult catches. That's the NFL. Jerry Hughes has made 2 or 3 plays today and been consistently helping teammates get free on the pass rush. Watch the game. Without Julio, Ryan will start throwing interceptions! Oh brother, 6 straight 4,000 yard seasons.
