Republican Voters!

I remember Democratic Senators from Bama, huge obstructionists to the Civil Rights Movement, right into the 80s

That is correct. Before the shift in parties took place, Southern Democrats mostly became Republicans.

Robert Byrd, Hillary's mentor, became a Republican?

KKK Byrd from West Virginia, the state that loves Trump the most. Big surprise there, huh?

Then they realized the Democrat party no longer supported their views on race, and became Republicans.

Still pushing that fantasy, eh joey.

It what those who have difficulty with reality push..............

It would explain how those bind people consider the makeup of the Southern voter from the 60's the same as today.............LOL

Their views will never be of any consequence, so let them have their fun here...

I know I should................it's a futile effort.

but they keep pushing that the "old, white, voter is disappearing, and being replaced by a diverse group.....................and it IS happening in the south.

But those voters favor Republicans too...................

GOP won in every area of the country, so there's hope that folk with:

a brain

no violent criminal record the length of your arm

some basic common decency

an education

a job

a family they love and care for

are in the vast majority of voters....

they get about 2% of the stories in the new though.

Republican Voters.............

LARRY SCHWEIKART: Blue States Getting Redder and Red States Getting Redder.

All the latest voter registration numbers at the link, but here’s the conclusion:

In short, among the truly contested states in 2016, the only ray of hope for the Democrats is Colorado, and even there, the trends have flattened some. They have stabilized New Jersey and Delaware, but Republ
icans continue to gain significant ground in Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, North Carolina, Iowa, Nevada, and above all, Pennsylvania. If t
hese trends continue through 2020, Florida would be have a slight Republican registration edge, North Carolina would be nearly even, and New Mexico would be close enough that it could never be taken for granted. M

oreover, Pennsylvania and Iowa would be solid Trump states.

The remarkable thing about the Republican trending states is that they have moved steadily ever since last November, in
almost every case without a single break. Democrats continue to lose voters, and they are not becoming independents.
All of this appears to be due to Trump and Trump alone, as the Republican Party has not offered any reasons to embrace it.
