bdutton Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sadly, Tom Petty is off the list. Came here for this. Leaves sad.
Gugny Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sadly, Tom Petty is off the list. Yep. My top 2 of all time were Prince and Petty. Now I want ELO so Jeff Lynne can do him right.
KD in CA Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 (edited) Huey Lewis and the News Now that's one Id watch. He's performing 1/2 mile from my house in a couple weeks and its sold out. Edited October 4, 2017 by KD in CA

ExiledInIllinois Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sadly, Tom Petty is off the list. But, we can keep on runnin' down a dream that he'll make a recovery.
Augie Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 But, we can keep on runnin' down a dream that he'll make a recovery. He's honestly one of the few who have not done it I'd be interested in. Most suggestions here tell me it's time to go take a world class pee like a race horse.

ExiledInIllinois Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 OK, maybe I was peeeing! Ha! I remember it vividly, our Tom here wanted to run away and become a refugee. He almost had a breakdown. That's when I first realized thay there was Petty hate out there.
boyst Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 What about a 80's pop band show? From the gap band and whitesnake thru Cyndi lauper Paula Abdul to flava flave
DC Tom Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Sadly, Tom Petty is off the list. Why? It's not like he's suffered any decline in talent.
LabattBlue Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Train Great suggestion. Saw them live a few years ago.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Here's the thing. AC/DC, Def Leppard, Metallica, all great bands. But that's classic rock or "Dad rock" as I've heard plenty of people call it. The demographic of 18-50 year old men that listen to that, are already watching because they're in the target demographic of NFL football. That's why they've had pop singers the past few years, because they're aiming at the younger female demographic, who might not have an interest in the Super Bowl otherwise.
