Navin
Seems strange to me that nobody has been talking about how dominant he's been. Out of nowhere, Humber's one of the leading tacklers in the entire NFL.
Juice_32
He looks very good. His athleticism has surprised me and like the rest of the defense thus far he's been a very sure tackler.
QB Bills
Really? I think he's been the one weak link on the defense. That whiff on the Newton scramble is probably the worst play I've seen a LB make in a little while.
Mat68
Goes to show you that draft status and measurables are not the best indicators for production. Interesting the defense is led by a group of guys that earned their way onto NFL through special teams and now are productive starters. Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander, Roman Humber, Mica Hyde, and Poyer are all low picks special team standouts and now very productive. I think that is what Mcdermott was talking about with building a team not adding talent. Production always trumps potential. If you get the talented guy playing like the others guys now you get something special.

PaattMaann
Sarcasm? no I think he is being serious...at least regarding the Newton tackle. That was embarrassing to watch. HOWEVER, the rest of his season thus far he has been awesome.
JohnBonhamRocks
Tackle totals do not a productive linebacker make. But still, the guy has to be playing pretty well if our defense has been so effective.
RyanC883
He looks like a small James Harrison out there. He's everywhere. I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm glad you laid out a clear cut case on this one.
QB Bills
Sarcasm? Nope. He's had a rough time in coverage, taken some bad angles on runs and missed a clear interception on Sunday. To be fair, I don't zero in on him for every play, and I don't think he's been awful, but he really has been the weak link so far on a surprisingly solid defense. Over 29 years of fanhood
This years Zack Brown. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the mainstay of the front office under Doug Whaley was consistently finding top notch LB talent. HappyDays
I think he's a dime a dozen LB in a very good scheme that maximizes what he can do. Nothing wrong with that, but I imagine LB will be near the top of our draft needs next year.
Johnny Hammersticks
I think Humber has been outstanding. Not getting a lot of attention due to lack of "wow" plays (sacks, INT's), but has been very solid. Moves very quickly sideline to sideline, and I haven't noticed him being a liability in coverage...as someone stated above.
Buffalo716
When you are constantly noticing someone on TV during the game it is usually because 1 reason. They are being targeted hard. The gameplan is to go at them and see if they can hang. Humber has been targeted very heavily all 3 games. Making some plays and missing some Poyer has been targeted a lot all 3 games as well and is holding it down . They may start moving away from Poyer and go to attacking Humber more Tre got tested last week, had a rough start and finished Strong. If I'm attacking anyone on the defense it is Humber
jr1
this is why players should take pride in special teams because they could eventually get a shot as a starter
Blokestradamus
Good game in Week 1, below average to poor in Week 2, fantastic in Week 3. For the situation he's in and the price tag, value for money thus far.
OhDozeBills
Totally agree, Humber has been all over the field making tackles and I think he's been better than Preston Brown. Another nice surprise on the defense and the guy deserves some recognition for what he's done in the first 3 games. Hope he continues to play at a high level!
