Over 8 yards per attempt 20/26 is pretty efficient. He did what the coaches asked him to do and did it against one of the most solid cornerback groups in the league. Also against a very good pass rush with no running game.

Passing yards don't correlate with winning.

And ready for a ticker tape parade for the Offense?

Please can we see a 300 yard passing game and a win, which every NFL team but the Bills seem capable of?

Pretty foolish post. Did you watch the game? If so, did you notice that throughout most of the fourth quarter, Dennison stopped throwing the ball altogether and just milked the clock? It's not a philosophy I support, but it's certainly not Taylor's fault and it's the primary reason he did not throw for 300 yards or thereabouts. The same thing happened in the Jets game, by the way. "ticker tape parade"

Pretty much all I needed to read to move past this thread

i was just going to say, you have to love the hyperbole on this site. I've seen no calls for a parade, or even much real optimism, for the passing offense. Simply props where props are due. Edited by YoloinOhio

Fine, I'll say it. He is a top 10 qb.

Look at what he's had to work with at receiver last year and this year.

Look at how crappy the pass protection is with this o-line.

They took away any deep threats, thereby negating one of his best weapons.

He's had to work with a different coordinator every year he's been here. And this year, we've got another run, run, pass specialist.

His scrambling ability is the best in the league.

He rarely makes big mistakes in terms of turnovers.

All of these things factored in, I'd place him as a top 10 qb.

Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.

Take a look at these starting QBs. There is HUGE talent lull. Aside from maybe 5-6 dominant QBs, it's really bleak. And when the olds retire in a few years, what do we have left?

I thought we'd see this post a lot sooner.

What is the obsession with throwing for 300 plus yards?

Because it's fun?????? I'd much rather see a team entertain me and go 7-9, vs. bore the snot out of me and go 9-7.......

Again I've defended TT and blamed his results on the OC. The fact they couldn't figure how to make him and Watkins a top offensive duo pissed me to no end.

And now he has less weapons. The coaching staff & front office are to blame.

Was away and didn't post this earlier.

I'm not a TT fan, because I think he takes too much time to read the D.

But I have to admit that he doesn't take chances like Fitzy did, and throw interceptions,

which dig a big hole for the D to get us out of.

Maybe one of the reasons the D looks so good is because TT isn't giving up the ball

and putting them in awkward situations.

3 and out, after 3 and out, isn't fun to watch, but it's better than throwing interceptions.

So you would have hated being a Seattle fan recently during their 3 years of NFC dominance?

To all Tyrod critics...

We all know Rex buttfukked the defense.

If the Bills had either the 2014 defense, or the 2015 defense, what do you think his won- loss record would be?

Still 17-15?

I think we're about to find out this season.

Spot on! Rex and his nonsense SMH for those lost seasons.

Name me a team in the last 15 years who was successful with a pop-gun pass attack.

How about the Russel Wilson led Seahawks or the dead body of Peyton Manning? Is that not recent enough for you?

And yes I like him and this is not about TT. It is an offense mired in thinking that is 15 years + old.

When Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson & Jeff Hostetler are brought up it validates my m point.

I brought up 2 other guys and much more recent.

I'm working on another perspective post but haven't had too much time this week to get it out yet. However last year while I was doing them there wasn't really a correlation to passing for 300 yards and winning. Rushing for more than 100 yards however did.

Think about this, what teams pass? The teams losing for the majority of the game and in catch up mode. Much like great teams usually have "poor pass defense" because teams pass against them so much as they are behind most of the game. Here are 300 yard passers for 2017 12 - 11 is the record. So 47 games with 94 qbs and 23 of them passed for 300 yards. That's 24.4% of qbs. So 75% of qbs aren't throwing for 300 yards through 3 weeks. Further Carson Wentz (2), Aaron Rodger (3), Carson Palmer (2), and Tom Brady (2) are the only qbs in the NFL to do it more than once. Digging even further Carolina and Denver are both in the top 10 for passing yards allowed and the Jets are 13th.

Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.

This is 100000000% correct. We have an emotional attachment to Tyrod's performance and therefore are much more critical of him without paying attention to the state of qb play around the league.

Maybe. It depends on if we can re-establish our running game. I hate to even bring up a QBs won loss record since there are so many variables. We don't have the talent I don't think on offense to be a playoff team. It will be a miracle if we are.

This thread is 5 days premature. Atlanta is the first playoff caliber team we will face this year. We'll know more at 4:00 Sunday.

Denver inarguably has a playoff caliber defense.

Downgrade Carolina and Denver. Check.

But Siemian was Peyton Manning, and Denver was supposed to destroy us? Give me a break. Fans always do this. If we lose vs. a good team, we suck; if we beat a good team, that team wasn't good.

And with all these high ratings, no one argues he's a top 10 QB. Why?

Well QBR said he was the last 2 years and again so far this year. The more advanced the metrics the more they favor him. He's unconventional. At this point, as an example, he's a way better player than Flacco. People remember Flacco's 2012 playoff run but when you put them side-by-side Tyrod has been better.
