SoTier Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 This is all we see however out of Buffalo and the offense and results in seasons in and around .500. Until you have the ability to put up 300 yards passing we get the same excitement that 200 was thrown for. Sorry that I'd really like to see more. If Taylor had the wide receivers and OL that Jared Goff and Trevor Siemian have, he might throw for 300 yards. Unfortunately, he doesn't, but he did very well with what he had on Sunday ... and a W trumps anything else.
Kirby Jackson Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Tyrod played well. I still want to see us get out of our three and out parade that we get into at times, but he played well.Agree here 100%. They need to do a better job on 1st down. They never play ahead of the markers.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 It's always better to have 300+ passing yards and have the team lose.
Billsfan1972 Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 Again he played well. That is not the point. He holds on to the ball and doesn't make mistakes. But yes you need to be capable of 300 yards passing games to be successful in the long run. Name me a team in the last 15 years who was successful with a pop-gun pass attack. The point is I think TT is capable of it, but they traded away his best weapon and this yes was a typical Bills win where they are never down more then 1 score. Yep the D really exposed Trevor Symien....... It's always better to have 300+ passing yards and have the team lose. And how often have we seen that in the last 5 years? And before someone mentions the Miami OT loss (took OT to get 300)......... Only 300 yards game as a Bill..... 35 games and one over 300.....

PromoTheRobot Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Every team has three and outs. It's football.
Bangarang Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Winning is good regardless of how many passing yards we have. Tyrod played well last week. Lets just leave it at that and see how he does going forward.
H2o Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 And ready for a ticker tape parade for the Offense? Please can we see a 300 yard passing game and a win, which every NFL team but the Bills seem capable of? W, that is all that matters. Just as The Ravens with Dilfer, the Bucs with Brad Johnson, and the Giants with Hostetler. Just get me W's.
nucci Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Agree here 100%. They need to do a better job on 1st down. They never play ahead of the markers. They seemed to move the ball better when passing on 1st down....did that more against Denver than Panthers
BringBackOrton Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 He's highly rated because he's incredibly efficient. And with all these high ratings, no one argues he's a top 10 QB. Why?
bobobonators Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 And ready for a ticker tape parade for the Offense? Please can we see a 300 yard passing game and a win, which every NFL team but the Bills seem capable of? What a troll post.
QB Bills Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 More evidence he's a top 10 QB.Fine, I'll say it. He is a top 10 qb. Look at what he's had to work with at receiver last year and this year. Look at how crappy the pass protection is with this o-line. They took away any deep threats, thereby negating one of his best weapons. He's had to work with a different coordinator every year he's been here. And this year, we've got another run, run, pass specialist. His scrambling ability is the best in the league. He rarely makes big mistakes in terms of turnovers. All of these things factored in, I'd place him as a top 10 qb. Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.
YoloinOhio Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) I'm not a Taylor fan (as a franchise QB) but I'm rewatching the game right now and the guy made some big time throws and plays to move the chains and score points. He had a vintage Russell Wilson game on Sunday against a big time defensive secondary. Edited September 27, 2017 by YoloinOhio

Billsfan1972 Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 And yes I like him and this is not about TT. It is an offense mired in thinking that is 15 years + old. When Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson & Jeff Hostetler are brought up it validates my m point.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) He is 17-15 as a starter!! Why do you care about 300 yard passing games?!?!?!? .531 win %. That is why. Yes, I attribute that near .500 win total to a lack of a good passing game. And an inadequate Defense ... which so far is not the problem Edited September 27, 2017 by ShadyBillsFan
H2o Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 And yes I like him and this is not about TT. It is an offense mired in thinking that is 15 years + old. When Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson & Jeff Hostetler are brought up it validates my m point. It's brought up because these guys weren't the most prolific passer, but their DEFENSE was top notch so they WON SB's. We can win with TT, but we just won't win often on the back of TT unless he gets more consistent. I've noted my reservations about the guy the last two years. I have said he is NOT the answer at QB. But if he can string together performances like this past Sunday, regardless of yardage totals, and we win then wgaf?
HappyDays Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 And with all these high ratings, no one argues he's a top 10 QB. Why? It is actually much easier to argue that he is a top 10 QB, than it is to argue that he is not a starting-level QB as some on this board have tried to do.

quinnearlysghost88 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 10 QBs threw for 300+ yards last week...6 lost.
