BringBackFergy Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Yes. I say there's good reason to have him up there. * Name another Bills QB who had us on the brink of the playoffs in the last 12 years. * 12 games played for 3018 yards (extrapolate those numbers to a full 16 games and we're talking 4000 yards in a full season) * QBR of 87.8 * 15 rushes, 14 yards with a long of 10 yards in 12 games (extrapolate that to a full season and he would have easily had over 100) * 18 TD's and 10 INT's is a ratio of 2 to 1...extrapolate that over a full season and he would have had 24 TD's * Mental toughness and team leader * If we had him as a rookie in 2005 he probably would have surpassed Kelly (or come close) if you extrapolate his stats from 2014 over the course of nine NFL seasons. I'm not saying he is a lock to get a place on the stadium Wall of Fame, but the team should give full consideration to his credentials both as a player and team leader considering how he came in a led our team to its best record in a very long time. 1
PolishDave Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) Good god no. A guy who didn't want to play football. Came out of retirement because of $$ Then quit again. God friggin no. Edited September 27, 2017 by PolishDave 1

Football stats matter Dave. There's guys on that wall that were in it for money...and some have even served a prison sentence.
Stank_Nasty Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 taylor had us a game out of the playoffs in week 16 of last year....... lets toss him name into the ring as well
Scott7975 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Honestly...i don't even know how this is a question.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Bored this morning Fergy? seems that way Mental toughness and team leader? WOW pass the joint my friend
Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I'd let him slide. Slide short of the first down, you mean?
26CornerBlitz Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) Slide short of the first down, you mean? Sure and that's certainly Wall worthy. Edited September 27, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
PolishDave Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Football stats matter Dave. There's guys on that wall that were in it for money...and some have even served a prison sentence. How long did he play for the Bills? That is a rhetorical question. And that alone excludes him from the wall. It would be an insult to the existing names on the wall. Why not give everyone a participation trophy? taylor had us a game out of the playoffs in week 16 of last year....... lets toss him name into the ring as well It would be more reasonable to put Taylor on there right now - rather than Orton. And putting Taylor there at this point would be insane. Football stats matter Dave. There's guys on that wall that were in it for money...and some have even served a prison sentence. Be honest. Is this thread some kind of joke? Sure smells like it.
Mike in Horseheads Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 His dive in the Oakland game is wall worthy I'd suspect. It sure stood out
BringBackFergy Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 His dive in the Oakland game is wall worthy I'd suspect. It sure stood out 3 TD's, 329 yards...I'd say so. When's the last time a Buffalo QB threw over 300 yds? Excellent point.
K-9 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Absolutely. Plus,we need to retire his number. He is perhaps the best QB to ever lace 'em up for the Bills.
BringBackOrton Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Absolutely. Plus,we need to retire his number. He is perhaps the best QB to ever lace 'em up for the Bills. He really is. Get him on the sideline.
jimmy10 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Good god no. A guy who didn't want to play football. Came out of retirement because of $$ Then quit again. God friggin no. Not only quit again, but quit when he slid short of that first down in Denver. Screw Orton.
