Rubes Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 ...this one from 4 years ago: Bills vs. Saints 2013 Obviously we're a different team now, but I think even though we were 3-4 entering that game on the road against a 5-1 opponent, there was still some sense that maybe we could hang with them and somehow pull it out. We did hang with them in the first half, but got spanked in the second half. Still suffering from BBFS. I hate getting my hopes up for games like this.

That was the classic close game with 3 minutes to go inhalf, then Saints score 7 right before half, and then get ball to start 2nd half and score another 7. 14 points in a row, Bills dead! But good thing was weekend there was awesome, and had a great dinner that night at Herbsaint!
YoloinOhio Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 (edited) I never thought that the Bills would win that game. Thad Lewis at QB? Then didn't he end up playing out the game with cracked ribs? That said I don't have hope they will beat Atlanta this week either even with their starting QB. So I guess it does have the same feeling for me as that one! Edited September 26, 2017 by YoloinOhio
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Normalcy? would love the W, but at minimum I'm taking the 8-9 points
Koko78 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Keep in mind that this coaching staff has shown the ability to actually make adjustments at halftime - It's been what, 18-20 years, since we last saw a coach who would do that?

plenzmd1 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 How about it's totally NOT like that? Well for one, New Orleans a WAY more fun city..apologies to augie and all other folks living in the ATL

If the pass rush can get to Ryan then it's a game.
The Wiz Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 From what I can tell, their defense is poor at defending rbs in the passing game. You know, most of what our offense is about.

Captain Murica Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I think we can run on them. The Falcons are dealing with injuries to some key players. Julio has a lower back injury and he is day to day. Vic Beasley will not be playing with that torn hamstring. I could see it being a lot closer than most think.
Rubes Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 How about it's totally NOT like that? If you'd prefer.
YoloinOhio Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 How about it's totally NOT like that? but it is in the south
billsfan60 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 This whole season now has a different feel. It's not that I'm planning for a win, just not planning for the loss. This year feels like any game is winnable. No slam dunks, but all winnable (even the putridiots***).

No slam dunks, but all winnable (even the putridiots***). yep. they will compete it seems. 2-1 and no big early season IR injuries (knock on wood). hmm.... kind of a "who knows" season. McBeanes may have put together one of those very rare "new coach rebuild/retool-and-the-team-is-better-the-first-year" deals. That would be special... scrappy little nobodys Edited September 26, 2017 by 8-8 Forever?

Rockpile233 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I'm not going to overreact if they can't beat one of the best teams in the league on the road. I WILL overreact if they do win!
BuffaloBaumer Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 One victory at home against a good Denver team is nice and most teams in the NFL have that 1 game a year where everything goes right. If they go into Atlanta and get a W, they will have proved this is a different team and that anything is possible.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Best away game weekend ever! Halloween weekend and thousands of Bills fans owning Bourbon Street??? Already looking forward to 2021 when we go there again.
Gugny Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 For the first time in years, my optimism is higher heading into week 4 than it was heading into the season. It's a nice feeling. I just want the Bills to show well against ATL. A loss to these guys should be budgeted. If we can keep it close, you never know.
