Personally, I am against any protest by the players during the anthem as it is disrespectful to our armed services and our country in general. However, in this country it is their 1st amendment right to do it whether you like it or not. That's what makes this country great.

 

Once Trump stated that they can't do it and should be fired, all bets are off. No one in this country has right to take away basic rights of man. This is no longer a question or respect or disrespect, but a question of constitutional rights. I am in full support of such actions deemed necessary to uphold those rights.

Please, I am not trying to start a debate on this board about the politics of the abortion issue but more just a "what if"...what would you feel about that?

 

It's freedom of speech. It's most likely a position by those players to give a voice to the innocent.

 

Btw, just for the record, I am not against the current protests. I wish they wouldn't do it during the national anthem, but I do get it.

My north coastal elite bride asks for gargonzola @ Dominos Pizza... 25 years ago in jerkwater Ohio. The stunned looks on thier face was priceless. What is she trying to do, get us killed? Her response: "Well they have it @ Dominos in the Boston area when I visit my sisters!" Oh boy! Now it gets time to make like a fly and buzz!

 

Just walk backwards slowly to the car, say our other vehicle is a truck and we have to get back home to see Billy Joe & Bobby Sue... That will buy us some time.
