DC Tom Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 If you really think about it, it's an embarrassing win. They always are when Tyrod's under center.
Protocal69 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 (edited) Very happy about the outcome of the game. But Denver really screwed up. Failed fake punt - dumb Interception #1 - awful Interception #2 - even worse Von Miller penalty - freebie from the zebra I liked the outcome because normally we are the ones doing dumb things or not getting calls. But have you seen two worse interceptions than the ones Trevor Siemian made? That was sandlot worthy. Who does a fake punt in that situation? The Miller penalty was a no call. I also doubt that when the winds start blowing we are going to see two 53+ yard field goals again. Good coaches like the Hoodie and QB's like Matt Ryan and Tom Brady do not make those kind of mistakes. Need to see more before buying Super Bowl tickets. Sincerely, Debbie Downer Naw they just blow 28-3 leads and go for it on 4th down from there 25 yard line and don't make it in a playoff game vs the colts Edited September 25, 2017 by Protocal69
buffaloboyinATL Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 If you really think about it, it's an embarrassing win.Im not embarrassed. At least one of those interceptions came as a result of intense pressure on the QB and in the past, fake punts like that have worked and ruined an otherwise good game. And calls like the one on Miller have gone against us. You make your own luck in this league by doing most of the fundamental things right. I am proud, not embarrassed.

You realize only ONE team has Tom Brady and the hoodie right? Are we gong to delegitimize every win by saying "Brady would have beaten us" now? Because most teams in the NFL can say that year after year. And Matt Ryan and the coaches just blew the Super Bowl. So your statements are beyond absurd in the first place. No offense, but I absolutely hate this thread, what your wrote, and this absurd logic. Where was this logic when Zay Jones blew a win week 2 by running a terrible route forcing him to turn what was a game winning throw into a tough catch that would have won us the game? How about you delegitimize that loss now, because we SHOULD be 3-0 if not for a rookie mistake. You guys go OUT OF YOUR WAY to delegitimize real production by some our players on a regular basis, 2 hot topics this year are trying to down play just how talented and productive Sammy REALLY was when healthy along with trying to downplay every successful play and positive stat associated with Tyrod. Now you are trying to discredit a win agains a team that has a tremendous defense and had been rolling the first 2 weeks of the season? This thread is so bad it should be locked. I don't know why anyone bothers to come to this board anymore. TSW should stand for "The Silliest Whiners" board. PS: Let me know when you start the "Carolina Gift" thread where we gifted them a win by a rookie mistake. Edited September 25, 2017 by Alphadawg7
4_kidd_4 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 They did the Billsy things. We didnt. Nice change of pace.
billsfan_34 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 If you really think about it, it's an embarrassing win. That is an embrassing comment- think about it. We played disciplined football, something all of us have been dying to see in a long time. The NFL is full of parity- more times than not the more disciplined, better coached teams win. That is todays NFL and why Rex will never coach again.

Bills beat Vikes on last second TD and there was a big thread titled "Embarrassing Win"! because Vikes weren't good and Bills just barely won at home.
mannc Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 If you really think about it, it's an embarrassing win.The fact that we beat a team that lost to the Bills is a bit of a red flag, don't you think?

Nick the Greek Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 The only real gift was the penalty by Von Miller because it was kinda soft, and put an end to the game by giving us a first down. You can't complain about the interceptions though. We have a good defense. How about some kudos. And also, the Bills gave totally been on the other end of those spirit crushing interceptions. Do you remember Fitz? We have a QB good at not turning the ball over. That is underrated, and totally ignored by your post. The fake punt was dumb, but that coaching. That's something Rex would do, and something to get a coach fired. Overall, the only gift was the penalty.
Charles Romes Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Denver is Exhibit A of trying to win without a franchise QB. They are the Super Bowl favorite with a Brady, Rodgers, Roethlesberger, and still a top 5 Super Bowl contender with a lower end but still franchise QB like a Cousins. With a capable marginal starter who is not a franchise guy they can lose to a well coached team of castoffs and journeymen.
xsoldier54 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 So no matter what they do, it was luck that they won. Brilliant analysis.

Castoffs and journeymen is a bit harsh. Just how good has yet to be seen. Beating Atlanta is another step in the right direction.
Fadingpain Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Disagree about the fake punt being categorically "dumb" or inherently a "bad call" from the Denver coaching staff. It was a calculated risk that had a good upside if it worked, and a bad downside if it failed. We got 3 points out of it, but not more, which may have well been part of the Denver thinking when they tried it. It was not so much "bad" by Denver but "Good" by us, being ready for it, playing responsibly, and taking care of business when we should have. Many Bills teams in the last many years would NOT have stopped that play! But this one did! That is really encouraging.

Better let the OP know that. By the way OP, Houston dropped a game ending pick from Brady yesterday.

87168 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 why must we constantly try to diminish a win? the Bills D was incredible, and they stopped an offense, that is more than capable of moving up the field. the offense wasn't the highlight but they made some pretty impressive plays, and had some really nice drives. every game has bad bounces, questionable calls, and plays one team wishes they could have back. the Bills won. simple.

Mark Vader Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I think the point the OP is making is although we played well, Denver made a ton of dumb uncharacteristic mistakes and without those maybe it's a different outcome. So pump the brakes on us being a good team all of a sudden. It's a long season and we haven't even played the tough teams yet Denver is not a tough team?
JMF2006 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Yes, I feel ashamed. Lets call the league and give it back Most of the time in the last 17 yrs we would be going " what if" after we lost one of these, its nice to be on the other side for a change.
