BuffAlone
What is the National Anthem all about? That may be lost on you. It's about honoring the country and what it stands for, including the brave men and womem who defend the rights and freedoms not shared by alot of countries around the world. Maybe THAT point is lost on You! Or maybe you got a pro-Castro shirt and funny little piggy socks too and need a platform to show off your new outfit?👌 You need to follow the threads. Poster said that only sports writers are keeping the story alive and it would be fair to say that at the Alabama rally, dumped a tanker full of gasoline onto the flame. Get it now? Ah, so in your opinion this gigantic, 400-year social issue is the fault of sportswriters? Got it.
Boatdrinks
Why does everyone have to do the same thing? Isn't that what freedom is all about? Because the protestors doing their own thing is ok. Not falling in line with your union brethren as a statement to Trump, for not kissing their a$$ is not. Gotta show unity

Boatdrinks
Thats not true at all. Most players stood yesterday, where are people hating on them? Most teams showed " unity" by locking arms etc. the Steelers decided they would stay in the locker room. One player decided not to.
BillsFan2313
Yet all the fat hypocrites that think they respect their troops spend another day not doing a damn thing for anyone else. Carry on losers. How do you know?
Numark3
Most teams showed " unity" by locking arms etc. the Steelers decided they would stay in the locker room. One player decided not to. It was a vote. A couple other teams stayed in the locker room too. They emphasized all doing the same thing. Someone went against the grain and I havent seen much negative attention to him. I dont quite get the point. I think that concern is imaginary, or even, fake news

So why get bent out of shape that the players were exercising the very freedom the flag symbolizes? You may not believe it's the best way to make a point but you should feel good that it can happen and defend their right to do so. Unlike you, I've just defended citizen's rights under the Constitution and I believe Castro and his government are abhorrent to our nation's values. On the other hand, you seem more at home under Castro's system where people are persecuted for expressing themselves. I have a strong opinion on this subject and choose not to share it. The choices I make everyday are the only indicator of my preference. Strutting around like a rooster and squawking opinions for all to hear accomplishes very little. The place for this type of thing is not at a football game. Try getting a permit to protest something inside the stadium or even to counter- protest the players. See how that goes for you. We are only getting one side of the story, then spoon fed more of it from the media lap dogs. They never mention a different point of view either. Just take for granted that what the players are " protesting " about is factual and we all should agree. Don't think that seems a bit one sided or even dangerous? Un-American even. Taxpayers paid for that stadium. Do we want it used by just a select group to stage a protest? Or is it for football. fansince88
Oh, and I think the President has done more to keep this alive than all the sportswriters in the country. This is my largest complaint. This was fumbling out of bounds on 4th and long. People were not paying attention then Trump goes and resurects it. Max Fischer
yes, because this issue is right there with the civil rights moment and the founding of the country. Y'all are fools Dude, protests are what the country was founded on and a vital part of our nation's history. For a large portion of our country, "racial justice" is a HUGE issues. Ignore if you want, few issues are rise to the level of CR or founding of the country but it is unproductive to dismiss the issue. It's not going away until folks on all sides have the courage to take it on.

Got it. Aside from disco, funk, smooth jazz, jazz fusion, and soul remained popular throughout the decade. It is this influx of popular music that soon transformed into rock and roll during the Early 1970s. Rock music played an important part in the Western musical scene, with punk rock thriving throughout the mid to late 1970s.

It was a two minute, non-violent, undisruptive expression of how they feel. What could be more American? Who else is being stopped from doing a similar expression? Spoon fed what story? What different point of view? This straight-forward. The players are expressing their concern over racial justice. The President decided to dismiss those concerns and more players joined in. What "side of the story" is being suppressed? Please, tell us.
