Is the Patriots' defense as bad as it looks?

They've allowed 95 points in three games. I want to believe that they are bad but knowing the Pats and the way they have hornswoggled the league for fifteen years, I just can't trust them to be so awful.

 

But it would be nice to think they could not hold anyone under 30 points per game, even on their home field.

Gronk is the key to that whole team. Without him I don't think the pats win yesterday.

 

Their d will turn it around but boy do they look beatable now. Still best coaching and QB in the NFL so they have a shot each week.

They also have 99 points for (LA #1 with 107). Averaging 33 PPG usually gets you a win. Their game plan is to score more points than the other team.

I wouldn't put too much stock into the Pats defensive play.....yet.

 

Many times the Pats defense unfortunately seems to gell as the season goes along.

 

I am cautiously optimistic that the Pats' defense has declined, but I'm taking a wait and see approach.

Keep the ball away from their offense for as much of the game as possible. That's the only way to beat them.

Unfortunately we don't play them until December, so they have time to right the ship or bring old guys out of retirement.

It is to bad other teams aren't stopping them... It'd be nice to get a little help in the standings. 😀

PFF has him as the number 19 CB with an 81.5 ranking. I guess they think he's a B- , not exactly a 15M/yr player.

lot of new guys that havent come together. i'd like to think it's gonna be a down year but they have a history of fixing things with that coaching staff. if they're like this in a month we can talk but they have played 2 teams that are on fire offensively and a third with little tape on em.

And thats when their offense will slow down as Brady gets worn down more and more. He is not a 20 year old anymore. You started seeing it last year and now they have to score to make up for a bad defense.
