plenzmd1 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 From John Clayton: Leaving on a Jet plane? The Laveranues Coles trade is not dead. Coles is talking to the Jets about giving him about another $1.5 million in the next three years to get his contract numbers to $15 million over the next three seasons. Coles, now a Redskins receiver, collected his $5 million deferred signing bonus payment Tuesday. He is scheduled to make $5 million in 2006, $3.75 million in 2007 and $5 million in 2008. If the Jets agree to kick in the remaining $1.5 million, he's willing to go to New York in exchange for Jets receiver Santana Moss. If he didn't give up the bonus, how in the hell can he dicate where he will or will not go. Starting to sound like the dam NBA, where guys get traded, do not show up, get bought out, and then go the team of thier choice. Son, you signed a contract that has not expired and does not have a no trade, guess what, you do not get to distate where you will play
ganesh Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 As long as there are owners like Snyder who will do anything crazy to get things moving, you are going to see such manuvers.
