CanadianFan Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 (edited) His offense was ranked 27th in the NFL last season. After 3 games, we're ranked... 25th! Heck it's an improvement. And to be fair, 2/3rds of the opponents have top 5 defenses. So in that sense, this is an improvement for Dennison, whom Denver fans were only glad to see go. For the record, Bills had 16th ranked offense last season. Edited September 26, 2017 by CanadianFan
hondo in seattle Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Our run game has been inept the past two games.
Magox Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Our run game has been inept the past two games. Yes, but the game plan for both the Jets and Denver yielded very nice drives and play designs. Not to mention that our second half adjustments in all three games has produced better second half results than the first half. The criticism for him has been over the top. Who would have thought that we would have scored 26 points against Denver? I'm sure there are a few yahoo's here who will respond to that but most observers did not believe that would have been the case.
CanadianFan Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 Our run game has been inept the past two games. Yes rushing game is a concern given that we had the fewest personnel changes in that side. We had the #1 rushing offense last season. It has now dropped to #12.

N.Y. Orangeman Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 An awful QB, replacing the entire WR corps and a new coaching staff and philosophy is tough to overcome in 3 games.
Woodman19 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Eh, we are limited in terms of personnel. Only so much coaching can do and other than the frustration of the Panthers game, the offense has been good enough for me.
aristocrat Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Our run game has been inept the past two games. denver is number 1 against the run and car is 14 but very good. now we get to feast on the lesser teams coming up.
Bills757 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 An awful QB, replacing the entire WR corps and a new coaching staff and philosophy is tough to overcome in 3 games. If the QB was awful, the Bills would've been beaten soundly yesterday.

NoSaint Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 What is your deal? Enjoy the win, bich next week, not EVERY week. You come off as miserable. Meh. We can turn this place into a wild roller coaster after every win/loss or we can have reasonable discussions and take the good with the bad. I prefer the latter and will click both positive and negative threads, while you can create your roller coaster by self moderating what you click
Charlottebillsfan2 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 And yet the Bills are sitting at 2-1 and in first place in the AFC east.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 We knew as soon as Lynn and the entire offensive coaching staff left that there would likely be a step back in 2017. A lot of the problems on offense is the result of an offensive line's growing pains in learning this new blocking scheme, not to mention our most valuable OLineman (Glenn) being hurt. We've faced very good defenses the first two games and they have stacked the box on the Bills to stop the running game. Tyrod and the receivers need to do a better job and when they do the running game will open up.
Woodman19 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 We should just keep bringing in GB's offensive coordinator or QB coach to fix the offense every year when they can't replicate GB's offense.

You are right, there is a place here for Buckys and Sullys but not idiots.
Royale with Cheese Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 This is a perfect opportunity for Tyrod to step up the passing game since defenses are still focusing on Shady. If Tyrod can perform like he did yesterday, defenses will have to divide the focus up. Lets see and hope Tyrod can do it.
NoSaint Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 His schtick in particular is wearing thin with many. You are right, there is a place here for Buckys and Sullys but not idiots. Touché - I haven't paid close attention to the individual posting patterns of most lately.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 We won the game and Dennison was a part of it. Jeez come on, every game has things fans don't like, it doesn't mean the fan is correct. Enjoy the damn game and let the season play out. Your insinuation that Bills have a bottom 5 offense might just be wrong!
bobobonators Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 The only complaint I have with Dennison so far is playcalling. He had one good game yesterday and one poor game against the Panthers. The Jets was OK. There was a point yesterday where the pass was working effectively and we suddenly started going into a shell with predictable run calls. And it was still a 1 score game at that point. And to start the game too. Predictable play calling. But to be fair, new OC, all new WR, and QB missed time in preseason; they all need to get in sync still.

That awful QB just won a game against a really good team and did it with no running game and getting sacked 4 times. Good call!
