BuffaloBaumer Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 When is the last time we had a coach with the confidence to get points with under a minute to go? Thank you Coach And offense....it's about freaking time!
CDogg20 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 One of my favorite quotes great teams score before the half Wouldnt call us great but its a start in the right direction. Cant remember us doing that since I was a youngin
Steptide Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Yep. Was very happy/impressed they did this. It's crucial to winning close games
Jasovon Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Haven't seen a bills team play for and achieve this in a long time, maybe 10 years?
PABillsfan23 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Nice of Denver to give us all that space to dunk it down there
dubs Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Great point and agreed. Gotta go for it in those situations.
GunnerBill Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 The final play to the sideline to Holmes to make the kick much more kickable is definitely a play good teams make. Bad teams try the 58 or 59 yarder on the previous play.
SF Bills Fan Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Said same thing- last year we would've gone into half without trying. Said same thing- last year we would've gone into half without trying.

Thank you Coach And offense....it's about freaking time! I think he learned from his own mistake last week. That's a good sign rather than the repeating of mistakes that we've grown accustomed to.
Real McClappy Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Was definitely a huge plus for me in gaining confidence into our new coaching staff. Keep up the good work.
MarlinTheMagician Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Same here. I was fully ready for the kneel down - and praying it wouldn't happen.
BillsFan130 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Was nice to see. Was also a little shocked to see denver play such a soft zone
Kelly the Dog Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 McD wasted 15 seconds before calling timeout when the Broncos had the ball and we would have had a minute instead of 46 seconds. But that was a terrific 46 second drive for a FG.

Well he should have called it immediately anyway. We had three timeouts. They had second or third and long. It was close enough, like the 15, so they couldn't get more than one first down (meaning if they picked it up we weren't giving them extra time to score they would need.

I think he actually got a bit lucky cos had the D not been gassed not sure there is time for us to respond. I am just saying I think McD's thinking at the ime was predicated on defensive game plan rather than clock.

I am just saying I think McD's thinking at the ime was predicated on defensive game plan rather than clock. Then he's lucky he didn't waste more than 15 seconds. Other than that I thought he coached a very good game. For only his third game ever as a head coach he really has his team ready. They don't make a lot of dumb mistakes. Both offense and defense gets their calls in quick. The special teams for the most part have been good except for the returns. McDermott deserves a lot of credit. Frazier, too. Jury is still out on Dennison.

He dogged that play.
