My best mate is a Rams fan. I watch a ton of them. Gaines is a really really good zone corner. We should extend him asap.

Both Gaines and Tre White had tremendous games. Both of them have really quick reaction time and good feet. The entire defensive backfield has been tremendous.

The Sammy trade can still be a crappy trade and you can like Gaines. I hated the trade and still do but have liked Gaines since his first preseason game and said so. He's been very good.

They've been playing great, especially Gaines.

 

I'm a little worried about what will happen when they play a sound, disciplined offensive team with a very accurate QB like Atlanta or NE***, who do a great job of exposing the holes in a zone cover defense.

 

But for now, I'm very, very happy with them.

I thought he missed a couple and made a couple very good ones. For a rookie he's been terrific.

The oddity to me are those ensuring we could have kept Watkins and got him to play vs. being able to keep Gaines

He bit on things 3 times first half and his guy got behind him. Very good 2nd half, no doubt.

Sammy whiners. Brilliant trade. Very good zone corner and a draft pick, are you kidding me? Twice on Sundays. What I love about the kid, he twice has come out of games after dinging the shoulder the first time. And twice he was back on the next series. Kid is a beast.

He got lucky the play got reversed on the big play down field where he got beat. He got burned bad a few times but he did show up strong on other plays.

Yep. He blew a couple coverages and he got beat on and out an up but he's very impressive. I don't think we have given up a long pass all season.

I bet if we end up paying Gaines after this year, his contract ultimately offers more value than the one Sammy Watkins gets. A shutdown secondary wins more games than a good WR.
