Just Jack Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 You see this a lot recently, not just teachers. I'm really surprised companies do not have two people in charge of accounting just to keep some honest. But sometimes that doesn't work either http://www.syracuse.com/crime/index.ssf/2016/08/da_how_former_cny_spca_director_vet_tech_stole_nearly_700000.html
Seasons1992 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Sad to see. I have a friend who was fired recently for doing the same thing. Addiction is tough.
Just Jack Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 And now, just today, it's announced a local to me PTO member stole money also... http://www.syracuse.com/crime/index.ssf/2017/09/former_cny_pto_treasurer_indicted_on_7_felonies_accused_of_stealing_27k_from_kid.html
KD in CA Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 No embezzler should have a bond lower than the amount they stole. Scumbag
Marv's Neighbor Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I'll bet she put it all on Black!
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Remember the cop who embezzled and then faked his own murder: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/11/04/fox-lake-illinois-cop-manhunt-ruled-suicide/75145690/ Guilt got the best of him. Why not take a few made up/fictional pukes of society down with him he thought before he offed himself. Everybody will believe it! Starting with the Corps in BFLo District years ago, I was hired just after a huge travel fraud scandal in the District. Survey/dredge crews (on the road all the time surveying harbors from Toledo, OH to Watertown, NY) were messing with what they were claiming on their travel vouchers, per diem... Even getting the hotels in on it! I guess people weren't Boy Scouts or if they were, didn't take parts of it seriously. Edited September 23, 2017 by ExiledInIllinois
Fadingpain Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Addiction to gambling is real and kind of like addiction to drugs. It'll make you do things you don't really want to do and know you shouldn't do.
