Bleeding Bills Blue Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) Tyrod's YPA was 5.0, Shaw...five point O. Yet we are the whiners because we want a passing attack that isn't last in the league every year... Without his contributions in the run game we averaged below 1.0 YPC... The run blocking stunk because it was easy to see what Carolina was doing. I watched the front 7 crash down on every play because they focused on stopping the run and didn't respect the pass. Tyrod wasn't under duress all game passing the ball. High percentage because we averaged 5.0 yards per pass play and 2.5 per attempt in the air. He was definitely under duress in the game at least a few times. Mills got blown off the line on multiple occasions. Edited September 18, 2017 by dneveu

Royale with Cheese Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Tyrod was never under duress? What game were you watching? I never said never. I said all game.
SaviorPeterman Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 This is why I have little faith in this regime already, it's the whole Nix/Gailey infatuation with Fitzpatrick all over again. Just like with Taylor, Fitz was also a holdover from the previous regime that was given 'the benefit of the doubt'. We all know how that story ended and it will be no different with Taylor if these people truly believe he's not the problem and gives this team the best chance of winning.
Royale with Cheese Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I'll edit my posting about him under pressure to reflect what I was really trying to say.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Tyrod was never under duress? What game were you watching? Tyrod was pressured a few times but in general he has a habit of making the OLine's pass protection look worse than it actually is because he loves hanging on to the ball.

You familiar with the terms of service? You should give it a read sometime...
BillsVet Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Dennison is Jauron 2.0. No, Dennison is more like Jauron's OC, Steve Fairchild right now.

They were generating a bunch of problems up the middle and not letting him step into his throws. Mills also was just bad. Badly timed penalty killed another drive, and the OPI kinda killed us there at the end. We were set up with a 1st and 10 at the 22 with a minute left. instead... 1st and 20 from the 42 Edited September 18, 2017 by dneveu
bobobonators Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I never said never. I said all game. LMAO. Dude youre on a roll.
JaCrispy Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Tyrod was pressured a few times but in general he has a habit of making the OLine's pass protection look worse than it actually is because he loves hanging on to the ball. this is so true...he rarely throws the ball when the offensive play requires him to.
YoloinOhio Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Coaches think differently. Whole offense was bad and he's probably just referring to him not turning the ball over and getting some yards with his legs.
hemma Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 From LOS - average of 2.5 yards in the air for completed passes. A dartboard is 7' 9 1/4".
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 this is so true...he rarely throws the ball when the offensive play requires him to. It's also an easy way to blame him when the O-line plays like crap, because he will hold the ball. Sometimes the play dictates that you hold it longer than a second.
SaviorPeterman Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) Also if the definition of keeping you in the game is passing for a franchise low net 6 passing yards at halftime, having happy feet and feeling pressure that's not there, overthrowing wide open receives and almost getting your key offensive players killed with terrible throws so be it. Yes we get it, the guy can make a play here and there with his legs but he brings absolutely nothing to the table in a league driven by pass happy offenses and elite franchise QB's. Royale with Cheese Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 LMAO. Dude youre on a roll. I edited it the post to reflect what I was trying to say and posted I was going to do it. I see the confusion it had in text. When I said "all game" I was referring to the "entire game".
starrymessenger Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 If Tyrod kept us in the game it was in spite of his OC.
likei've Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Tyrod was pressured a few times but in general he has a habit of making the OLine's pass protection look worse than it actually is because he loves hanging on to the ball. Got to agree with everything you've said in this thread. Also, is Shaw serious? He's got to be kidding, right? Right?!
Bangarang Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 And here I was thinking it was the defense that kept us in the game.
