McBean Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 But you just said this in another thread: So why are you still posting? The thread said sign here for 1-15 season. Doesn't mean I won't watch the Bills geez. It means I have zero hope for this squad with TT under center.
CanadianFan Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 He looks like Fitz' little brother. Roman got scapegoated here. He maxed out Tyrod. He did a great job with him. That said, trading Sammy and putting Tyrod in this offense set him up to fail. This is a slow offense. Defrnsss don't fear our WRs and will just stack the line to stop McCoy. This will be a Jauron type offensive year. It's a shame because our D will keep us in many games. They Jets just gave up 42 points and Oakland took their foot off the gas pedal. They are a terrible football team. yeah Roman definitely did great job and people should realize it if not sooner.
CookieG Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I think we all agree on that, I just don't remember it making much of a difference when they did have one with TT. Any good run defense gives the Bills fits. This game played out like the Ravens game last year. The running game and duel threat of TT works against lesser defenses. Anyone remember a game where the Bills faced an elite run D and the offense perfomed well as a unit? The Jets believe it or not, had the 11th ranked run D in the NFL last year. We put up 31 on them..but they scored more. Arizona had the 9th ranked run D last year...we put up 33 on them. Seattle had the 7th ranked run defense, we put up 25 on them. They scored more. The Pats had the 3rd ranked run D last year. Beat them once and scored 25 on them the second game...they scored more. In both games, they put up around 375 yards. In 2015 The Pats had the 9th ranked run D, we scored 32 in the first meeting..they scored more. The Jets in 2015 had the 2nd ranked run D, we scored 22 each time and swept the season The Chiefs had the 8th ranked run D. We scored 22 and put up over 400 yards..they scored more The Texans had the 10th ranked run D. We scored 30 and put up nearly 400 yards of O.

ndirish1978 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Yeah, let's hold someone accountable for the rebuild in the first year it's being done. Can we also hold them "accountable" for playing really, really solid D that returned NONE of its starting DBs? We should also hold them "accountable" for all those draft picks we picked up that should land us a franchise QB. This team was built to run the football and play solid D because that's what we have. Getting value for a WR that was not going to re-sign here and was not going to be properly used anyway while acquiring draft capital is a smart move. Trading a CB who doesn't fit the scheme - also a smart move. This Oline is not good at pass-blocking, but they can run block. You do the best you can with what you have.
Gugny Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Especially if they expected this defense to actually be decent to possibly great which is what they've shown so far. Why ruin any real chance this team might have had for the playoffs? I get that they didn't forsee a long term future with Watkins and might have felt he wasn't going to stay healthy. But to stockpile slot receivers and not bring any semblance of a vertical threat to the offense is bush league at best. And I don't blame Beane for letting Gillesle go since that was Whaley, but relying a 34 short yardage back to be the primary back to a great RB whose been often injured in Buffalo is a recipe for disaster. Quality RB's might be a dime a dozen but we really don't have much behind McCoy. Also insisting on starting Jordan Mills at RT is a trainwreck and there has to be a better turnstile we could have signed off the street. Regardless it's a matter of time before this guy sends the entire QB depth chart to IR. We seen some terrible offenses the last 17 years in Buffalo but after setting ominous records yesterday (like 7 net passing yards at halftime) it's not getting any better and even a QB change to Peterman might not matter. Psssst .... they destroyed it on purpose. Shhhhhhhh. The thread said sign here for 1-15 season. Doesn't mean I won't watch the Bills geez. It means I have zero hope for this squad with TT under center. I thought you checked out until Tyrod got benched. You can't post until Tyrod gets benched. Check the TOS.
CardinalScotts Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) panthers D had nothing to do with it, or the oline who couldnt get them blocked or the wideouts who don't get open its all new receivers week 2 they will get better LOL held accountable 2 games in good god Edited September 18, 2017 by CardinalScotts
boater Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Hold the front office accountable...How? Fine them? Run laps? Time out? Public apology and humiliation? Restrict their privileges? Send them a sternly worded email? Lock them up with a journalist? Dunking chair? Short of firing them, how do you wish to hold them accountable?
apuszczalowski Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 So the great OC Roman, how's he been doing with his new team? Should have kept Lynn and made him HC, his team with one of those really good QBs we ate all talking about needing are looking great at 0-2 This team had to move on from Rex, and the offence wasn't as great as people want to believe by looking at the stats/ranking. Did anyone here ever think that the offence was good enough to win a shootout? Or would get a comeback win? The choice was stay with the someone to keep a mid tier level offence in tact and try to redo the defence that actually was as good as advertised a few years ago, or find someone outside the organisation who would be able to rebuild the defence back to where it was quicker and work to rebuild the offence. It's funny how there are some who bash the front office for only giving Rex less than 2 full years, yet after 2 regular season games (with only one loss) have already turned on the new guy.....
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 The amount of stuff posted, especially responses on this board that contribute absolutely nothing is astounding these days. I figured I was free to do the same.
SoCal Deek Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 The offense is about the same as last year. If you look at past statistics you'll find that Jordan Matthew's is more productive than Sammy. So what's changed is that he's now on a team with a skat back pretending to be a QB. If you're old enough to remember...this is Marlin Briscoe revisited! The 2017 Bills will rely on a running game, and when it fails, they'll be pretty much doomed. Live with it!
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I am done with Dareus as well as Glenn as they always have same foot/ankle/knee injuries every few games it seems.
