krf139 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I'm pretty surprised at the coverage and reaction to Zay's drop - people fail to be bringing up the important point that the catch does not get him in the end zone and does not win the game for us. Yes, it was a huge drop and we would have had a shot at another play, but by no means did it mean a W.
Jamie Nails Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 It was right in front of me. His momentum likely gets him into the end zone or down at the one. We had one timeout left. At worst 1 play on the goaline. Time to let it go
RoyBatty is alive Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 A properly thrown ball he waltzes in the end zone, 95% of QBs with little pressure (as TT had) throw that for a TD.
Chuck Wagon Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 If Tyrod hit him in stride he walks into the endzone, he burnt the corner and the safety would have been late in getting over.
LeGOATski Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Sure, okay. Should we really care? Not catching it = a loss so...
Royale with Cheese Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Even if he doesn't make it in the endzone, we would have had the ball at the 1 yard line with 14 seconds or so left. If he doesn't get out of bounds, we wouldn't have had a time out left but it's enough to take 4 shots in the endzone.
