Doc Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The defense is the least of the Bills' worries thanks to the pickups of Poyer, Hyde, Gaines, Davis, Yarbrough, and White. I hope Jenkins can add something in time.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Â Oh, he did fine in FA. Â It's his drafts that blew sheep. Yeah, Lawson looks terrible this year.
hemma Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Guy is a wild man and I hope other team's receivers take notice.
TakeYouToTasker Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Poyer has been fantastic so far. Â Actually, the whole secondary has been stronger than anticipated.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Yeah, Lawson looks terrible this year. Â he looks average. at best. Â come on man, ratchet down the anger index. Â
Heavy Kevi Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 enter the NNN's in 5...4...3... I don't think anyone can be negative about Poyer.
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 so far, so good. I was not expecting much, but love the way he is playing.
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 Safety blitz with Poyer has worked 2 weeks in a row
TakeYouToTasker Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Safety blitz with Poyer has worked 2 weeks in a rowHis timing of the snap off the edge has been top notch.
Lurker Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 @theMMQB https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/09/17/nfl-week-2-carolina-panthers-buffalo-bills-greg-olsen-injury  Coach McD knows how to build a secondary. The safety play in particular has been the best I've seen from the Bills in quite a while...
Kelly the Dog Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Yeah, Lawson looks terrible this year. After first and goal at the one, with three minutes to go, Lawson made two plays in a row, the big one for a two yard loss on first down that put us in a position to win. Also had a sack. Also held the edge on runs. He had a good game.
Mark Vader Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Poyer has been fantastic so far. Â Actually, the whole secondary has been stronger than anticipated. I am greatly surprised at how the secondary has played. Â While the secondary gave up some big first downs today, they did not give up a lot of YAC. Tre'Davious White is particularly good in this area. I really like Leonard Johnson too. Gains & Hyde are doing fine. Â Poyer had another sack from a Safety blitz, and he broke up 2 would be touchdowns. Â D-Line & Secondary looking very good. Our Linebackers.....Ummm
Strethor Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Very sharp player with great instincts - what a steal. I said in the game thread if Poyer doesnt make those plays the game is well out of reach. He is a diffrencemaker in the secondary
Big Turk Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) After first and goal at the one, with three minutes to go, Lawson made two plays in a row, the big one for a two yard loss on first down that put us in a position to win. Also had a sack. Also held the edge on runs. He had a good game. Â If a player isn't getting sacks left and right on the DLine they suck according to most people, because most people have no freaking idea what they are watching and what a player's responsiblity is on any play...there is a reason why the Bills are allowing 2.7 yards per rush this year and it's because in large part Lawson is a terrific run defender and edge setter. John from Riverside Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 He's been the best player on the Bills. He keeps this up, he will get another Instagram model. Â Great pickup. Can I have his old one? Â Im not proud Yeah, Lawson looks terrible this year. OMG...... Â Ugh
Augie Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Not perfect (no one is), but has made some nice plays for sure. Saved a TD today.
BarleyNY Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Poyer has been a pleasant surprise thus far. Yeah he has. I didn't have much hope for him based on what he looked like in Cleveland, but he's changed my mind. Looks to be a great signing and a quality starter.
