bobobonators Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Im a bit concerned. I do not see any creativity in the playcalling. 1. I see basically zero misdirection plays. 2. I see a run on 1st down literally 90% of the time. 3. I see very little play action. 4. I see none of the unstoppable option run schemes that made this offense a top 10 offense. Bad game for everyone today on this offense; most of all horrible play calling and game plan by the OC.
Numark3 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Here is the first play of each drive. We passed 60% of the time on first down (even including the run as the last play of the half). I think you are seeing what you want to see friend. I love the bill complaints of we always run on first down, or we always do run pass run, or we dont do screens or playactions. These complaints, are almost always wrong. You might as well be a broken record in a vacuum ignoring what actually happened Drive 1 - Run Drive 2 - Run Drive 3 - Pass Drive 4 - Pass Drive 5 - Run (this was the last play of the half) Drive 6 - Pass (Tyrod scrambled, but it was a called pass) Drive 7 - Pass Drive 8 - Pass Drive 9 - Run Drive 10 - Pass Edited September 17, 2017 by Crayola64
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 @ChrisTrapasso Shouldn't have read too much into #Bills O Wk 1 performance b/c opponent & location. Same goes for Wk 2. #Panthers D: elite & great at home.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Hey new OC. We're going to trade away the best receiving threat you have and the thing Tyrod does best. Now, you have slow WRs and defenses will crowd the line and take away McCoy. Now, score some points!
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 ....had high hopes for this guy.....so far, he's lookin' like a meld of Fairchild and AVP......we're going far if that's the case...............

Horrible game by everyone. OL. QB. RB. OC. Shady cant have 3 yards or something like that at the half.
Numark3 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Heh, no one looks good that had anything to do with offense after that game
NoSaint Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 @ChrisTrapasso Shouldn't have read too much into #Bills O Wk 1 performance b/c opponent & location. JerseyBills Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Premature. That's a great D at home but I think our elite run game might be done, without that , kills play action
bobobonators Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 1. It seemed like CAR DL had penetration into the backfield on almost every play. 2. No lanes for shady to run. 3. No chemistry in passing game. I guess what bothered me most was that offense wasnt doing anything and we didnt try anything to really disrupt the defense. No quick slant passes. No screens to WR. No bootleg Playaction on first down. Just very vanilla.
todd Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Queue the total overreaction in the 2nd game of a new staff and offense.
fridge Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Looked like every offense Tyrod has run, regardless of which 3 OC's is making the playcall. He's the common denominator.
bobobonators Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 Queue the total overreaction in the 2nd game of a new staff and offense. Im not overreacting. Im just saying its a bit concerning that we couldnt be creative enough to manage to get shady more than 3yds rushing at the half.
Jasovon Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Tyrod is the problem, you can only blame everyone else for so long.
Bangarang Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Hated the game plan today. Too many runs on first down into stacked boxes. No misdirections or moving pockets. I'm having a hard time finding a difference compared to the pre-season.
Big Gun Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Looked like every offense Tyrod has run, regardless of which 3 OC's is making the playcall. He's the common denominator. Bingo!
Roundybout Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 It really looks like they don't trusy tyrod
