Doc Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 There was 3 DB's and 1 LB over there on the play. 1 DB and 1 LB on Kupp in a shallow zone. 2 DB's sliding over to Sammy who ran the deeper route. MY analyses are simplistic, at best? You confused the single deep safety with a !@#$ing linebacker. You had no idea the Bills had a TO left on the biggest offensive play of the day. I think Vince Young would outscore you in the film room. I'd call you an unaware fan, but that would be an insult to unaware fans everywhere. I thought you were talking about the LB who shaded to Sammy's side when he cut in, not the S who off the screen and there to guard against the 2 other potential deep threats to that side. Never mind he stayed to that side long after Sammy cut towards the middle of the field and was no longer a deep threat. As for forgetting about the TO, it's moot because the pass wasn't completed. I'd say try better, but I realize that could never happen.

Right, when I mentioned the safety, you know, the guy who usually provides help coverage on talented WR's, you thought I was referring to the LB. I think that's enough for now. 26CornerBlitz Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 @RichGannon12 Final BUF O, if your not able to stretch field & attack through air the field shrinks significantly over time & you make it easier for any D
Wayne Arnold Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 @RichGannon12 Final BUF O, if your not able to stretch field & attack through air the field shrinks significantly over time & you make it easier for any D Who stretched the defense last year when Sammy missed 8 games and the Bills still had the best rushing offense in the NFL?
26CornerBlitz Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Who stretched the defense last year when Sammy missed 8 games and the Bills still had the best rushing offense in the NFL? Teams had to respect Goodwin's ability to get deep.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 We are 1-1. TT is not the QB of the future. Some people need to calm down about the Sammy trade ruining the franchise. It's ridiculous.

DriveFor1Outta5 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 It was a stupid trade though Too soon to know that.
BringBackOrton Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) Too soon to know that. True. However, it's not to soon to know the Sammy trade has made our offense less dangerous this year. Just that it's too soon to know if it was worth it. Edited September 18, 2017 by jmc12290
26CornerBlitz Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Beane will draft a deep threat with the Rams' 2018 2nd round pick.
Koko78 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 You knew this was going to happen. As soon as Watkins was traded, he was to become Jerry Rice who would have made all the difference in the world for our offense. And if the Bills kept him, they would be branded fools for not trading him because he sucks.
John from Riverside Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Who stretched the defense last year when Sammy missed 8 games and the Bills still had the best rushing offense in the NFL? Goodwin?
Buffalo Bills Fan Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 And if the Bills kept him, they would be branded fools for not trading him because he sucks. Watkins makes other teams respect him. Without him way easier to defend and Tyrod strength is the deep ball. Goodwin helped in this area as well. Without helping Tyrod strength makes offense easier to defend stack the box on McCoy. Good d like today will make the offense look foolish.
Bill from NYC Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I have to believe the know enough to not bring that bum back. If they do, I'm done. Just !@#$ing done. Consider checking in on Promo's thread.
BarleyNY Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 That play is McBeane's fault. They could have dumped Tyrod and they could have set up the Bills WR corp so that it wasn't relying on a rookie to win a close road game. Taylor is out there because they want him out there. Zay Jones is starting because they dumped the starting WRs from last season. Tyrod's contract was reworked before Beane got here. With the guarantees in it he had to stay on the roster for this season. That's not on Beane at all. It's on Whaley and/or McD.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) Teams had to respect Goodwin's ability to get deep. Goodwin and the offensive design was GREAT last year for Tyrod and the running game. This offense has 0 playmakers and is a poor fit. But hey. At least we got that 2nd round pick for Sammy! Zay Jones and Kaelin Clay have speed. KClay can be used the same way as Goodwin. I don't buy this excuse. Goodwin? This guy? https://www.ninersnation.com/2017/9/17/16323914/49ers-seahawks-recap-marquise-goodwin-drop-week-2 Edited September 18, 2017 by Wayne Arnold
BillsFan17 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 This is great, Zay runs a great route, gets into space, if TT throws a better ball, there is no hyperbolic debate going on right now. I want people to go look at what Sammy has done in two weeks this year. Show me what exactly he's doing NOW that proves he absolutely catches that ball. Not Julio, not ODB, not Antonio Brown, not Jordy Nelson would have absolutely guaranteed that ball being caught. I will argue to an extent, the kid got his hands on it. But the pass was just awful.

Fair or not I think the league views them differently as threats
