BringBackOrton Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Clearly Watkins is the difference maker in the rams high powered offense today. You posted this....when the Rams were outscoring us. This board is in a sad state of affairs, let me tell you.
HappyDays Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 He had similar numbers through 3 years as Julio with some crappy qbs.. In no way does this entail he will be as good as Julio Jones
Dopey Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Don't forget about Darby. With Watkins and Darby in the lineup, the Bills are easily 3-0 by now. Nah, they'd be 4-0 by now.
billsfan1960 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Why do the Bills hate people with talent? If not for that idiotic trade we're 2-0. Does anyone not think he hauls that last pass in EASILY??? We probably also still have Boldin, and at least a CHANCE to score some points today. My ass is chapped about this one... So far Watkins has 1 catch for 2 yards, big loss. LOL
bigduke6 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 nothing Watkins did here justifies the usage of 2 first round picks on him. Injuries happen, other things happen, but unfortunately, Watkins is tied to those picks given up, and compared too other WRs in his class taken far lower with better production. Watkins showed flashes. That being said, he hasnt proven hes worth the inevitable asking price at the end of this current season.
Doc Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Where's the safety on this play? http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2017091711/2017/REG2/Redskins@Rams?icampaign=scoreStrip-globalNav-2017091711#menu=gameinfo%7CcontentId%3A0ap3000000846712&tab=videos He's watching the Goff's eyes and shading to that side. Just like he does when Goff looks to the other side. IOW he's doubling whoever Goff is looking at. Edited September 17, 2017 by Doc
jester43 Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 let me get this right, youd rather win a coupla more games, have a worse draft position, and probably lose Watkins at the end of the season anyways while getting absolutely nothing in return? watkins is oft injured, with a possibility of having great upside. he hasnt proved it yet, hes going to want huge money, and we dont have a QB that can use him correctly anyways......so ya, should of kept him....smh u guys realize that the stack the box and make Tyrod be a QB defense that everybody uses, has been that way since Tyrod played his first game right? With or without Sammy, it doesnt matter. overpaying for a WR when u dont have a QB is pointless. if he wants "huge money" we can franchise him, if he's worth it, or let him walk if he isn't. To me, just dumping him for 2nd seetlike just another Buffalo inferiority complex.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Jared Goff's improvement as a qb isn't helped by Sammy's presence at all!!! He would be doing the same even with Tavon Austin as his number 1 wr.

How many DB's are bracketing Watkins here on the Kupp spin move play? http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2017091711/2017/REG2/Redskins@Rams?icampaign=scoreStrip-globalNav-2017091711#menu=gameinfo%7CcontentId%3A0ap3000000846762&tab=videos Edited September 17, 2017 by jmc12290
Doc Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Lolno. Watch the play again. Someone want to help him? I was wrong. It was the LB who shades to his side. Sammy was single-covered.
SaviorPeterman Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I'm glad we dumped Watkins but this team was foolish to not add some sort of vertical threat to the passing game instead of stockpiling slot receivers.

jester43 Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 ....yup...one player trade is the sole fault of this offensive offense.....the proficient QB reading the entire field (COUGH) has nothing to do with it...............go do your homework......yipsters unite.....one man forcing them to not crowd the line of scrimmage CHANGES THE GAME. I know Taylor's not great. We still could have won if we didn't sabotage the season with this awful trade.
BringBackOrton Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 It might help if you knew that Sammy wears #12. Answer the question Doc. How many DB's are around him?
Koko78 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Nah, they'd be 4-0 by now. Only if they had paid Gilmore.
Houston's #1 Bills Fan Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 That play is more the QB's fault that Jones', it would have been a great catch, poor ball placement by Taylor, a better QB and that is a TD. Agreed. I think he over throw a tad too much. Jones did run a funny route, but WAS in position to catch.
Nuncha Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 3 seasons 153 catches and 9 drops. That's a pretty low #. and how many missed games due to injury?
