Roundybout Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Wow! What a 180 from rex. Cam was getting battered and bruised. Great stuff. That's something at least.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 This defense is loaded with talent. Whaley did a great job building a roster and Rex destroyed it. But great game for the D. They let us hang in a game we had no business being in. That said, Cam missed some throws because he was rusty. But still, a much improved defense. Rex sucked so bad.
Numark3 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 It is also clear that the defense is changing gameplans depending on the offense they play (novel concept, i know)
Dorkington Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I called them soft early on, and they completely proved that opinion wrong. What a performance out there, especially with how gassed they were.
LeGOATski Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 They made plays when they had to. It's also refreshing to see that through 2 games the Bills have looked like the more disciplined team. I wish they could open up this offense more.

Stupid Rex would have been in the playoffs had he not fired Schwartz. What a dumb !@#$.

Rex destroyed a decent team that Whaley built. We were a QB away from a contender minus Rex Ryan.
Big Gun Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Wow! What a 180 from rex. Cam was getting battered and bruised. Great stuff. That's something at least. Yup, they played great today. Thought they would get gassed being so hot but they didn't.

They could open it up, but that would show that the cupboard is bare.
Sandy McFiddish Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Love how our D looks. Getting Frazier at DC was also huge, he eases my pain of losing Schwartz.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I am wondering if there is a better D in the NFL right now. Maybe Baltimore?
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Carolina looked crazy good on D. Their front 7 is ridiculous. I don't think our offense is good by any means but they won't face many fronts like that. Edited September 17, 2017 by YoloinOhio

I don't think our offense is good by any means but they won't face many fronts like that. It's tough to compare Carolina D to Bills D because Carolina was playing a pretty weak Bills O and we had to play Cam who is always a tough matchup. Total Speculation, but I think our D playing our O today would have been even scarier.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I called them soft early on, and they completely proved that opinion wrong. What a performance out there, especially with how gassed they were. They WERE soft in the first Q. They were epic after that.

I know it's not popular but I think Rex was a huge issue while Doug struggled to find a qb (like pretty much any other gm)

Seems to me that with the exception of Jerry Hughes and Alexander (maybe Shaq Lawson?), the key defensive players either pre-dated or post-dated Whaley. And no, I'm not giving Whaley credit for Poyer/Hyde/Humber since those were pretty obviously McD guys in Whaley's lame duck period.
Prickly Pete Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I'm excited to watch them lose with another good defense, this year.
PIZ Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Playoff level defense. Pitiful offense. May as well try Peterman and use Tyrod like Pittsburgh did with Kordell Stewart.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The strength of the team as expected.
