26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Strong Bills ‘D’ not enough in close loss to Panthers The Bills defense put together a strong effort against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers offense, but the offense could not match their performance.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @BuffaloBillsPR The @buffalobills six sacks today marks the team's most since recording seven sacks against the New York Jets in 2014 (11/24 in Detroit).
WMDman Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Lawson/Poyer/Hughes really stood out to me this game The whole d played great

26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @WGR550 McDermott - We had a good opportunity, a good look at it at the end @PrescottRossi McDermott at the podium now. "We came up sort today, no doubt about it. Zay takes it on himself. He wants to make that play... That's on me'
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Very impressed with the Defense thew two weeks
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @PrescottRossi McDermott: "No moral victories here. We knew the skill set of Cam Newton going in. Our coaches did a phenomenal job."
EmotionallyUnstable Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Very impressed with the Defense thew two weeks Yep agreed. They were outstanding. @PrescottRossi McDermott: "No moral victories here. We knew the skill set of Cam Newton going in. Our coaches did a phenomenal job." Rico did a phenominal job?? Wtf. Just keep clapping... Jones ran a bad route but the loss is on the offensive scheme of you ask me
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @BuffaloBillsPR #ShoutOuts Five players contributed to the team's six sacks in a defensive battle against the Panthers. @PrescottRossi McDermott in 2 min. situation: "Thought communication flowed freely and we put ourselves in a position to win the game."
MPT Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Offense was terrible. But am I really the only person who gets livid about phantom penalties at the end of the game? We were driving hard and we got F###ed by a BS penalty. Game over. Say what you want about the rest of the game, but that one call determined the outcome.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @WGR550 McCoy - My wrist got tangled up, same issue as last week McCoy - I just didn't play good, no excuses McCoy - In the second half, thought we made some plays... We had a solid game plan, players have to execute
FloridaSnow Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Offense was terrible. But am I really the only person who gets livid about phantom penalties at the end of the game? We were driving hard and we got F###ed by a BS penalty. Game over. Say what you want about the rest of the game, but that one call determined the outcome. It looked like a push to me. The coverage person fell down because of it. Hard not to make that call.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 @ChrisTrapasso Shouldn't have read too much into #Bills O Wk 1 performance b/c opponent & location. Same goes for Wk 2. #Panthers D: elite & great at home.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 @WGR550 McDermott - We had a good opportunity, a good look at it at the end @PrescottRossi McDermott at the podium now. "We came up sort today, no doubt about it. Zay takes it on himself. He wants to make that play... That's on me' ...yup....the kid should be singled out for the "L"....184 yards of total offense didn't have a damn thing to do with it....that's on WHO Coach???..........
The Crowing Rooster Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 As the defense is impressive the offense is unimpressive.
goldenboy81 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Good game...Almost pulled it out in the end.. If it was rex d they would of lost 31-3 with the same players...Awesome game by the d and the offense will get rolling as the season goes...
smuvtalker Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Football is a team sport. However, it's GOTTA be discouraging, dis-heartening to play your A$$ off as a defense, only to see your effort completely nullified by a piss-poor offensive showing. The defense manhandled Cam Newton and the Panthers offense, sacking him 6 times, shutting down McCaffrey and the run game, playing physical and punishing the receivers... I know they'll SAY all the right things, but inside they've gotta be peeved. I can't imagine they'll put up with too many more offensive stinkers like that.
LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The last time I was this impressed with the defense was when Schwartz was around. And the last time I was this disgusted with the offense was with Hackett. Trading Sammy was foolish. And I'm officially done with TT. There's a reason he sat the bench in Baltimore for so many years.
