TheFunPolice Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Bills defense was amazing Newton was sacked 6 times, pressured all day, missed wide open WR a few times.. got injured... Has people on here saying he's not so great And still put up nearly double the passing yards Tyrod did.
Fixxxer Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) In case you missed it, the ground game stunk. thier d line outplayed ours. Not on tyrod so, if the run gamed doesn't work, what is the other option to move the ball and score points? I'll wait... Edited September 17, 2017 by Fixxxer
Bangarang Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 so, if the run gamed doesn't work, what is the other option to move the ball and score points? I'll wait... If the running game and defense both have to be good for the QB to look decent then you know you don't have the right guy.
Green Lightning Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Watkins on the roster instead of Matthews, the Bills win. Gaines is solid and Sammy likely would have beeen injured. Truth is Jerry Rice couldn't have made that catch. It was a crap throw from TT, as we gave come to expect. Edited September 17, 2017 by Green Lightning
T-Bomb Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 so, if the run gamed doesn't work, what is the other option to move the ball and score points? I'll wait... I think these days they can throw the ball, it's a new wrinkle, but I believe that is what you're waiting for?
LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 There's no doubt in my mind that we will draft a QB high next year. Tyrod's days are numbered.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 We had all day to score. It shouldnt have to come down to that play. Our defense gave us chance after chance and our QB laid another egg. When a team stops our running game, we can't score. Most road games, we can't score. When we play teams that don't stink, we can't score....let's see what the other guy can do.
bigduke6 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 so, if the run gamed doesn't work, what is the other option to move the ball and score points? I'll wait... but they dont have Watkins so Tyrod has lost the ability to passl
Fixxxer Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I think these days they can throw the ball, it's a new wrinkle, but I believe that is what you're waiting for? I believe it's called forward pass.
Sweats Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Was it any surprise to anyone that Carolina shut down Shady and made our O one dimensional?..........you could pretty well see the game plan within the first 5 minutes of the game. You shut down Shady and force TT to throw into small windows to his WRs........the pass coverage was pretty damn good by Carolina this afternoon. It is what it is.
LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Just like EJ's career ended in London for the Bills, Tyrod's career ended today in Carolina. TT may play in a few more games but I think eventually we'll see Peterman for the second half of the year. My biggest fear is this amazing defense will eventually get worn down and discouraged over the lack of offensive support.
100DollarBills Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 15 total passing yards in the first half! I've been done with Taylor, this was the last straw. I say start Peterman next week, if he does great the rest of the year, worst case we found a good backup, if he sucks the whole year, we have high draft pick to get our franchise QB.
LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I concur fully, but I knew that going in, and knew Taylor was our best option in this transition year. BUT Taylor just is not clutch enough.. He can make some plays but that throw to Jones sums it up. Taylor saw the route Jones was running and still threw it inaccurately Taylor was not rushed on the throw either, so IMO he just choked. Taylor is our stop gap and will win us enough games to keep us out of a top 5 pick, maybe even a top 10 (that might hurt us trying to move up to 1) .. I knew we would be depending on a stout running game and our D all season, but our running game was pretty bad today as well. Might of been different if Cordy was back, or if Taylor was having a better game. The good news is Indy might end up with the 1st pick and they have a QB so our 2 1st rd picks are looking real good for us in a trade up scenario
100DollarBills Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) What are our chances we see Peterman start next week? Edited September 17, 2017 by 100DollarBills
Bookie Man Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The cover 1 ALL 22 should be good this week
LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The throw to Zay was bad. The Indy theory is very possible. If Luck doesn't return, I see the Colts going 0-16. Maybe we can leapfrog the Jets for Darnold.

LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Personally I hope we stay put or trade down and grab the QB from OK st. We might just do that. There's going to be a lot of good quarterbacks coming out this April so we may not have to move up in the draft. Use some of these second and third round picks to continue to build the defense and add some offensive Firepower
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 He's not my boy. he's our QB as long as he is a Bill, right? or are you rooting for him to be bad too?Michael Peterson It was an out route, if he would have kept running it was a walk in. That spin was a rookie mistake. It was like rooting for JP or Edward, you know TT in never going to get this team to the playoffs right?
bigduke6 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 scares me at how expensive it will be to move up in the draft this year. lots of bad teams who need QBs, and if this draft is loaded with sure fire franchise QBs like we're hearing, its going to take a boatload of capital to grab one if we have to move up more than 5 spots.
