Kelly the Dog Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 After seeing the highlight you could tell when he came out of his cut he was aiming towards the 5 instead of the cone. Had he straightened out he probably would have had it. But when he came out of his cut he seemed to stumble a bit which I think threw his body off and geared him towards the sideline. If he had a clean cut he may have stayed straight. That's how I saw it. More likely it was a good pass. He tackled himself. And that yard or two makes the pass look bad.
reddogblitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 That was a tough catch. Would have been a freak catch if he pulled that in. Bad throw by tyrod I thought that's why we drafted him? Dude catches everything, or so we thought I guess.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 @BuffRumblings .@YardsPerPass went to the video to try & determine if it was Tyrod’s fault or Zay Jones on the final #Bills play https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/9/17/16323118/final-play-buffalo-bills-carolina-panthers-tyrod-taylor-fault-zay-jones-video-analysis
hemma Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Regardless of shoulder, it was overthrown. Bad pass.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/9266053/ezgif.com_optimize.gif Jones turns the wrong way, if Taylor throws it to outside shoulder Jones goes out of bounds. If Jones runs more vertical route that is a TD. Right, there was no room on the sideline.......if Taylor throws it where he's going it very likely ends up out of bounds. Taylor had a good view of him......he threw the ball where he hoped Jones would go.
r00tabaga Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 Its alright there will be more games like this from TT again this year and eventually after 2 plus years of excuses will stop. I TOO HOPE THERE ARE MORE GAMES WHERE WE HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN ON THE ROAD VS A BETTER OPPONENT AND TYROD MAKES WHAT SHOULD BE THE GAME WINNING THROW! #majorcrusade
Wayne Cubed Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Weird that he slows his route down too
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Just listened to his post-game. I love this kid. Total accountability. He will get better. This will drive him.
r00tabaga Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 Just listened to his post-game. I love this kid. Total accountability. He will get better. This will drive him. I hope this drives him. The great ones all conquered adversity.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Regardless of shoulder, it was overthrown. Bad pass. Jones knows he got too far toward the sideline......he was on a path to run out of bounds at the 4 yard line......gotta stay inbounds.
Heitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Zay said in post game "it was a fine thrown ball" and that he should have made the catch, fwiw. Of course, I'm sure he's covering too - the pass obviously wasn't perfect and the catch was super tough, but the guy's a pro...
CircleTheWagons99 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Cam threw a much worse pass, with two minutes to go, missing a wide open receiver from the 5 yardline that ices the game. Cam is coming off rotator cuff surgery, and his team won. At least he got them close enough to kick 3 FGs.
Heitz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Just listened to his post-game. I love this kid. Total accountability. He will get better. This will drive him. Completely agree - tough day, but I like this kid! Guess who makes that catch all day Gronk? Just our freaking luck...
Kirby Jackson Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 That was Ann AWFUL football game with 2 bad teams. Catch the ball and you win the game. In general though those teams lack playmakers.
T-Bomb Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Guess who makes that catch all day And tears a glute in the process and is out for 6 weeks.
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Completely agree - tough day, but I like this kid! Gronk? Just our freaking luck... he was very hard on himself. I'm glad his college WR coach is here. He will get there.
#34fan Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Anyone blaming the rookie wide receiver didn't watch the game. It should have never come down to that play. Edited September 17, 2017 by #34fan
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Btw Mccaffrey made a ton of mistakes in this game too.
