likei've Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Exactly. Jones was wide open. Even decent placement on that throw and it might win the game. I'll have to watch the game again, and the all 22, but as of now I can not even begin to defend Tyrod's performance in that game. To be fair, everyone on offense struggled though. The O line had a rough day. Shady had a rough day. But Tyrod was right at the top of the list of guys who had a bad day... Everyone struggled on offense?! How do you know that?! We didn't see receivers til 2 minutes in the fourth.
SwaggatronMcCoy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I expect an NFL QB to hit a WIDE open WR and not make him adjust his momentum trying to make a finger tip grab. I don't know...maybe we are asking for too much out of our QB. Are you sure Tyrod caused him to adjust and not the little stumble coming out of his cut? Take a look again...
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Throw was Late, Behind, High. Zay had to slow up to even make a play. A three year starter should hit that throw all day. If he does its a TD and Bills 2-0
HappyDays Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I didn't read this thread. I didn't have to. I know what's been said. But that was a great game. And if you have to lose a game, these NFC games are the ones to lose. You gotta love that defense. Props to the Panthers D. We need to improve our O-line. We will win these games going forward. This was a growth moment. We have a chance to bounce back next week at home. McDermott can get this team to respond. I come away from the game less pessimistic than probably 99% of Bills fans. Can't blame anyone who's mortified right now but that's how I see it.
3rdand12 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 you guys know with along pass like that the QB throws away from the inside outside over under man cover .Tyrod threw it for the touchdown.Zay did not look back soon enough and adjust.Completely different WR assignment on the long ball to the corner
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Teams that make the playoffs find a way to win that game. Teams that suck every year (like us) find ways to lose it.
Big Gun Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 He DID drive them down Against the prevent, otherwise he cant do squat against a normal defense.
Juice_32 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 There was a pass rush to account for. Watch it again. He had tons of space and had time.
Nitro Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The defense did its job. Tip of the hat to them.
Billsmovinup Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Still gotta adjust and bring that in. Right. Shouldnt ever expect your qb to put it right on the money.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 ...the era of "OBD unleashed" is here.....
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 There was a pass rush to account for. Now thats a new excuse. Any 3 year Starting NFL QB makes that throw
Scott7975 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I expect an NFL QB to hit a WIDE open WR and not make him adjust his momentum trying to make a finger tip grab. I don't know...maybe we are asking for too much out of our QB. I do too. Why can't I expect both?
3rdand12 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 It was catchable because Zay made a great play on the ball. If the ball was thrown where it was intended to be thrown, it's an easy td. If Zay catches that ball, he's tackled short of the end zone. Poor throw. If you don't see it, get a clue no it would have been more likely broken up as the corner was playing the the out to the sideline
SwaggatronMcCoy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Against the prevent, otherwise he cant do squat against a normal defense. Carolina did not run prevent on a single play that drive. So I think you should probably go learn some football morez
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Let's not forget how well he moved the team the whole game previously. Against a Tanking Jets team. Call it what it was
Gray Beard Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 That's on the OC as well. It's not like Taylor was given any chance to get momentum throwing when they stubbornly stuck with bad running calls all game. This. I think Shady is great, but he can't carry the team every week. The Panthers had his number. Change things. Don't keep doing the same thing and hope for a different outcome.
Bangarang Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 There was a pass rush to account for. He had enough time to throw. If the o-like needs to block for 6 seconds and receivers need to make acrobatic catches then TT is for sure not a guy you can win with.
ALF Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The Bills need the next draft to be a good one. D is looking good so far, I'm not disappointed .
Perry Turtle Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Now thats a new excuse. Any 3 year Starting NFL QB makes that throw Really? Newton played in the Super Bowl and he missed a bunch of easier throws today.
