He was a moron for starting Savage. You don't draft first round QB's to sit on the bench.

You don't start a rookie QB on a short week, on the road, with garbage at the Oline.

He should've had 2 pick six's already, and a fumble on that Atkins hit. He almost died on that Atkins hit.

We better root for the Bengals to find a way to win. They are awful and will definitely be looking for a QB in the draft. We need them to win as many as possible at this point because it certainly looks like we could be better than them.

If Texans go 3-13 they'll also be looking for a QB because they will have a new coaching staff.

I think it depends on the situation. If the kid isn't ready, there is no point shattering his confidence and throwing him to the dogs

If a QB's confidence can be "shattered", they will never be a great one imo. Overcoming difficult is key to the position. All of the great QB's in recent memory played as rookies. Guys don't sit on the bench for extended periods of time these days.

I'm more concerned for his physical health than his mental health.

Yeah when have a stud who played at 12 colleges like Tom Savage, you should definitely be playing him. Such an upgrade!

If you have a QB that is in the league because of his ability to move, you have to let them play their game. That's my thing with Tyrod. Don't ask him to do the things that he struggles with...use his skill set to our advantage. Once people started trying to make Mike Vick more of a pocket passer, he was never as effective. Let these guys do what they do.

Same is true of Cam Newton.

i'm not saying Savage is better than Watson, I'm saying that O'Brien botched it from the beginning.

You are right in saying that QBS don't sit on the bench much, but doesn't mean you have to start because you are a first round pick. Trubisky is, Goff did last year. If the kid isn't ready, he isn't ready. Also not fair for the other 52 guys on the team if you are starting a QB that gives you a worse chance to win

While I partially agree, you can't just let a guy run around whenever he wants because the team will never be able to comeback against an opponent when they really need to...why do u think the Bills can never seem to score at the end of regulations? Because Tyrod can't throw the ball consistently enough to move the team down the field when they need him to...therefore, you can let him do what he does well, but at some point he needs to learn how to throw from the pocket as well, imo.

You're right. Watson should have started game 1. Savage sucks.

Agreed he should have. Or If you're going to start Savage week 1 then why give up on him after 2 quarters and then make the switch. it's comical.

Decent point but what are JAGs like Mike Glennon & Tom Savage really getting you?

Bill O'Brien is best friends with Marrone. Offense guys who have only been successful because they have been carried by their defense. They are terrible offense coaches.
