bobobonators Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 If the Vegas Raiders are run correctly, it should become the richest franchise in the NFL. It is the best city for travelling to and from, so the home team and visiting team will have lots of interest, sellouts every home game. Also sponsorship opportunities from every city that has an NFL team, because eventually every team will play there and Vegas is designed to accept visitors to have fun. It's a no brainer. But the root of the issue is you dont travel to Vegas to watch football. Thats a waste of money in my opinion since football is literally the most boring thing going on in Vegas. Just my opinion.

If so, you didn't do Saturday in Vegas correctly.
bobobonators Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Correct, and what tourist wakes up before 1 on Sunday morning? If so, you didn't do Saturday in Vegas correctly. I agree. Granted, there will always be a contingent that does, however, i think thatll be the extreme minority. In the long run, any sustained attendance will have to come from the community itself, not tourists. If the Raiders arent doing too hot 3-5 years from now, who in their right mind is going to waste a Sunday in Vegas watching an average football team? The thought of that is blasphemy to me.

It would be a lot cheaper than spending a day in any casino. On average that is.
Saxum Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 The part that actually made me laugh is that "70% of the seats are in the sun"..LMFAO..really???? Is SF located in Qatar? Will the SF fans melt if they sit in the sun on a 60 degree day for more than an hour??? B.R.U.T.A.L. How about some facts bobo ... In San Jose the lowest day time high was in high 70s and on Sunday it was 94°
bobobonators Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 It would be a lot cheaper than spending a day in any casino. On average that is. But your missing the point. Its not about $$. Its about why people go to Vegas to begin with. And a person doesnt go to Vegas to spend $$$ to sit in a stadium baking in the sun to watch men stand around waiting for the refs to tell them the TV commercial break is done. Are Vegas tourists going to wake up at 10 am to go watch a 1pm game when the Raiders are 2-5? Lmao. The thought of that makes me want to vomit. How about some facts bobo ... In San Jose the lowest day time high was in high 70s and on Sunday it was 94 ° How do baseball teams manage to fill stadiums on Sundays in August? Tell me what the average temp in SF is in October.
Fan in San Diego Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 The visiting teams fans will bundle a trip to Vegas for shows, maybe some gambling and see there favorite football team. Flights to Vegas are cheaper than any other city and hotel rooms are plenty and reasonable. Especially cold weather teams, A trip to Vegas in December doesn't sound all that bad.
Saxum Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 How do baseball teams manage to fill stadiums on Sundays in August? Tell me what the average temp in SF is in October. You did not talk about October - game with poor attendance was in September. SF is much cooler than SJ. SF is on the bay and gets cool breezes. Some days it can actually get cold at night.

I've been in O.co where it's been 65 outside the stadium, but in the sun seems about 90 or hotter.

It's HOTTER inside the stadium. If it's 90 outside, it'll be quite a bit hotter inside...into the 100's. Ive been to SF. Been, but don't live
bobobonators Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 (edited) I never knew SF had fans made of paper maché. Apparently they dry up and crumble to little bits if its 90 degrees outside. Cant watch a football game. Hysterical. It's HOTTER inside the stadium. If it's 90 outside, it'll be quite a bit hotter inside...into the 100's. Been, but don't live Who cares if i dont live there? Is SF the hottest city in the US now? Theres 2000 fans in the stadium for their home opener and you guys are claiming its too hot? Pathetic. How do the SF Giants manage to play games in sub-saharan california in August? Edited September 16, 2017 by bobobonators
Saxum Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Why did you mispost then about weather being 60 degrees then?

bobobonators Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Was SF the only city in the entire US that had temps in the 90's on opening day? Its opening day. Do you tell your family we're not going to the game after buying tickets bc its +90 out? Good grief, you sound dumber with each passing post. Please stop. How so? Me: 70% of the stadium being in the sun is a sad excuse for the stadium being empty. Others: but its hot out. Me: who cares its opening day. Others: but its hot out. Me: is SF the hottest city in the US? Others: but its hot out. And im dumb?

First off, there's a substantial permanent population which, I believe, is equal to Buffalo's metro. Second, Vegas is essentially a suburb of LA these days. Especially for younger people, it's no biggie to jump one of the ton flights and go over for the day or night. Third, I expect Oakland people to make it there in large numbers like they did when the Raiders were in LA. As someone mentioned above, there will be plenty of packages for visiting teams which I think will be very popular. Don't know if they'll all make it to the stadium, but tickets will be sold. There is serious talk about a high speed train. We'll see. Personally, I wish they'd stay in Oakland.

In theory, you could fly in the morning , watch the game and fly home after the game.
