thebandit27 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 They must feel good about Gaines' health if they cut Mabin.
SaviorPeterman Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Interesting move and essentially another Gerald Hodges type of player.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) Maybe I'm forgetting someone but doesn't that leave us with only four CBs, one of whom is hurt? White, Johnson, Gaines, Shareece. Who am I missing? I even just looked at Bills roster on their webpage Edited September 12, 2017 by Kelly the Dog
YoloinOhio Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Jenkins was the Raiders "big" offseason Def FA signing. He was released with an injury settlement (groin). Many Raiders fans felt he should have been starting over their other LBs. Wonder what the story is on the groin.? Maybe I'm forgetting someone but doesn't that leave us with only four CBs, one of whom is hurt? White, Johnson, Gaines, Shareece. Who am I missing? I even just looked at Bills roster on their webpage yes they have 4 CBs and 4 safeties

YoloinOhio Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 @christrapasso Jelani Jenkins has been injured recently, but he fits the McDermott mold of linebacker: smaller / quick / good in coverage
Kelly the Dog Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 We are installing a mechanical groin. We have the technology. And robot girlfriends.

Kmart128 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 This makes me feel good about Gaines shoulder as they would keep Mabin if thry expected Gaines to miss the next game.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hyde can matchup as CB, but those four are technically it. True. But we need him at safety. I'll be shocked if there isn't another move on cb by game day. Probably one of the PS guys.
Watkins90 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Why not keep Mabin and release one of the thousands of DLs this team has. Seriously, dude worked his tail off in the preseason and showed flashes that he could be good. Instead, we release a healthy player and sign someone who is hurt. That doesn't make much sense to me. I also feel McBeane is in my head. Literally, every player I like on the Bills they have gotten around to getting rid of recently, except McCoy.
section122 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I loved Jenkins coming out in the draft! Happy to see this signing!

Mat68 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Seems like good depth behind Humber. He had a great game but is older so risk of injury is high.
reddogblitz Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I wish someone had told Beane Mabin was NOT part of the old regime. It's not even spelled the same.
Rubes Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Seems like good depth behind Humber. He had a great game but is older so risk of injury is high. Sounds like Humber may be a liability in coverage, so perhaps Jenkins is being brought in as a 3rd down back.
