Coach Tuesday Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 If there's a small hole we will burst through it. Better watch the backside protection, with this crowd.
Joe Miner Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Better watch the backside protection, with this crowd. Continued rapid penetration is the best way to end it quickly.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 I like Shaq and think he'll be a tremendous run stopping DE, but I don't see him ever being a great pass rusher. We're going to have to stick Lorax outside of him if we want edge QB pressure. Why? Not disagreeing, just curious why you feel that way.
smuvtalker Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I see sex and a lot of pressure coming from our insides this week because that's the best place to get Newton. I changed my mind. I WON'T be watching the game Sunday; not my kind of thing. No disrespect to those who want to watch and enjoy. 🤤🤐
BuffaloBillsGospel Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 #1 highest run stop percentage among edge defenders in Week 1 How long into the season before people stop sleeping on this guy? I knew he'd be a good run stuffer since that was always on his resume, now if he can turn into a dual run stuffer/pass rusher that would be ideal.
ndirish1978 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) Why? Not disagreeing, just curious why you feel that way. He was a better edge defender than pass rusher in college. I don't see him developing into some dominant sack master, just a competent end. If he can get somewhere in the 5-6 sack range I think we can call that a successful season for him Edited September 12, 2017 by ndirish1978

26CornerBlitz Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Ted Cruz will be watching, that I'm sure of. He'll just blame it on someone else.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 We played a Jets team that is clearly tanking the season. Let's wait until week 5 before throwing out numbers. He was doing this last year as well. Camp he looked like a man possessed. Hes gonna be a good player
Coach Tuesday Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 He'll just blame it on someone else. He called it a "staffing issue" and doesn't even realize how funny that is!!
John from Riverside Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 We played a Jets team that is clearly tanking the season. Let's wait until week 5 before throwing out numbers. Or we could ignore you and talk about last weeks game.

PromoTheRobot Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 #1 highest run stop percentage among edge defenders in Week 1 How long into the season before people stop sleeping on this guy? Sorry, the fact he needed surgery his rookie season ruins any positive for me.

OldTimer1960 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Can't really give Whaley any credit. Lawson was by far the highest rated player on the board when we picked. He only fell that far due to the shoulder. You mean the shoulder injury allowed Whaley to get a player rated higher than his draft position? I thought we hated Whaley for squandering a first round pick on a guy that couldn't play right away...
mabden Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Jets suck. Doesn't count. Be that as it may, dareous had no stats for the game against the same team. Bottom line; good performances, regardless of opponent, count as much as bad performances against bad opponents.
Ron Burgundy Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Good confidence game. Jests are really that bad so it's hard to gauge how much stock to put into this. Give a few good performances and we'll see. Sure could be useful to have a stud against the run though.
Buffalo716 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I said it when we drafted Shaq... He will never be a 12-16 sack guy BUT he will become one of the best run stuffing D ends in the league. He is already proving that and it's nice to have an elite run stuffer on the edge
BADOLBILZ Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 He was noticeably good against the run on Sunday; I'd like to see him get more opportunities to rush the passer in the upcoming weeks. That's where I am. And I don't expect him to get those 3rd down DE opps because he clearly hasn't earned them........which is disappointing.
