Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Everybody who is saying you need killer speed to be a deep threat is way off. Brandon Marshall Is a deep threat and he was never a burner. Larry Fitz was a deep threat and he was never a burner. Jordy Nelson is a deep threat and he isn't a crazy burner. TO was a deep threat and he isn't exactly a burner. Kearse , now on the jets was the Seahawks deep threat for the last few years and he isn't a burner. It's all about breaking down the coverage and calling the shot at the right time. If you get Jordan Matthews in cover 0 or 1 and in press coverage, all he needs to do is beat the press and he is instantly running down the field wide open as a deep threat. I've seen Jordan Matthews get open deep in the nfl so there is no reason he can't again... we also traded for a Kaelin Clay who can be a deep threat. You don't need to be faster than your man, just better and smarter +1
CajunBillsBacker Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I'm an LSU fan and season ticket holder. Dupre has a lot of talent, but he's inconsistent. He left a lot of people scratching their heads when he chose to skip his senior year for the NFL. He could have really benefited from another year in school because he took a step back last season with dropping the ball regularly and showing no willing to fight for the ball when defended. He's not a head case, he comes from a really good family. I just feel he wasn't motivated enough. In the bowl game against Louisville he put it all together and it was like watching a whole different receiver. Maybe he was motivated then by the thoughts of gaining draft stock and heading to the NFL, but he fought for the ball in traffic and made the catches expected of him. I think he'd be a good fit in Buffalo if the coaches can motivate him and keep him motivated.
boater Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Never heard of him... So get 'er done Russ, Doug, Brandon. ---BREAK--- Russ Brandon. Brandon Beane. Soul mates?
Freddie's Dead Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I don't see any NFL DB's named Tuscadero or Fonzarelli. We should sign this guy.
dubs Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Brining in anyone other than Julio Jones or OBJ for a visit....terrible Front Office!
YoloinOhio Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 @KMart_BN Source: Former Jets/Panthers WR Stephen Hill worked out for the #Bills today
Mat68 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 After seeing he was injured and waived I would bring him in if he clears the medical.
YoloinOhio Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) Maybe they just want to line Stephen Hill up against Gilmore later in the year 😬 Edited September 12, 2017 by YoloinOhio
Freddie's Dead Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Liked him on Law and Order, seemed a little old for WR. Oh wait, that's STEVEN Hill. Nevermind....
Mark Vader Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Maybe they just want to line Stephen Hill up against Gilmore later in the year We can laugh about that now. I didn't know that Hill spent time with the Panthers.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I used to really like Stephen Hill. And then I saw him play.
YoloinOhio Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Dupree signed to PS http://m.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-sign-LB-Jelani-Jenkins-add-WR-to-practice-squad/4aae694f-721b-4dd2-96ca-0ea961a14b5b Shorts waived
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I thought Dupree was on Jacksonville's PS. I guess not...
JimKellyTryouts Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Stephen Hill? There we go again bringing in Rex's ex-Jets. /s
Kirby Jackson Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Be prepared for me to irrationally defend Dupre and complain when he gets released from the PS. I like the receivers on the practice squad better than some on the roster.
SaviorPeterman Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hill was a massive bust for the Jets and a Rex Ryan pick, can't imagine why we are even diving this far into the dumpster unless we are truly concerned with the WR depth chart.
gonzo1105 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Notice how they brought in s 6'4 WR and a 6'3 WR suited for the WCO. Guess who is also really tall that is already on the roster that could be cut for a 3rd round pick🤔🤔
RoyBatty is alive Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 This clearly indicates that Gaines is out a while It might indicate, no so sure, it was just a should contusion which is what I understood.

thunderingsquid Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Let's hope Beane's scrap heap mojo is as good or better than Whaley's...who's was pretty good IMO.
