Does anyone know Rod Streater's status?

Actually isn't there some type of rule the one team you can't resign with is the team who gave you the injury settlement?

'tis.

Toe must have been something that would keep him out multiple weeks and he was just here on a one-year deal.

Depends on how long the settlement is for. Typically they come to an agreement where they pay them for as long as they are injured and cover medical expenses etc until healed at which point they are released and become a free agent. If he heals sooner and signs elsewhere the Bills don't have to pay the remainder. He could sign back here after he's healed too but if they wanted him that bad they would have IR'ed him

I think the Bills would have to wait until three weeks after he is healed to sign him again. Anyone else can sign him whenever.

You can re-sign the player when the amount of weeks you settled for + 6 weeks has passed. So if they settled with Streater to pay him for say, 4 weeks, they could sign him after week 10.
