NoSaint Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I agree that this game looks like a good chance at winning. T-Mobile looked good yesterday throw in the middle. I liked the connections to Clay, O'Leary and Matthews. Do that against the Panthers while the defense holds down Cam and we win. All we have to do is have TT throw to the middle against the best MLB in the game, and stop cam? Well when you say it like that...

Well when you say it like that... you mad? jk/ beating the LBs in both run and pass might be a challenge. this isn't jets LBs. am not sure how Bills win this game. But if i guessed? and I will. It will be second level blocking for the run game. Maybe let Tolbert bruise those LBs for a minute. That said, the pass game might need to be made better use of this game. Whats your take> I don't pay as much attention as gentlefolk like yourself NS

If they are sharp and focused it's a major uphill battle. If cam floats a couple off his back foot and we can take advantage it could change quickly. Carolina probably wins this one 6-7 times out of 10 at home. But it's definitely not unwinnable
Richard Noggin Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) You had me right up until this little diddy: New England loses to Brees and Co. 0-2 Did you see that display by the Saints tonight? Edited September 12, 2017 by Richard Noggin
CATFAN Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 All we have to do is have TT throw to the middle against the best MLB in the game, and stop cam? Well when you say it like that... Agree that this is not how to do it. Cam only had a couple preseason game throws and I think that was apparent by yesterday's performance. That coupled with the fact that the OC has an Atari-like playbook says that the Bills can potentially exploit some weaknesses. Don't turn the ball over and it will be a very interesting game.
reddogblitz Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Yeah, he looked real bad yesterday. He definitely looks beatable. But I will say, he still has an arm, on that int he throw it was 55 yards in the air with a tight sprial, not many qbs could throw a dart like that 55 yards. Long picks are great. They're just like punts.
billspro Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I expect it to be a tight game, decided on the last drive. Hopefully the Bills come out on top.

I am more worried about getting the offense rolling against the Panthers D
PaattMaann Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Clay is Not a blocker. Can't remember the play yesterday but he got SMOKED in there somewhere. He needs to get some receptions down the middle. even great linemen miss blocks and "get SMOKED" Clay is absolutely a good blocking TE
CountDorkula Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 He was 6-6 in the second half and looked like he got his feet under him. Cam will be fine.
boyst Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 even great linemen miss blocks and "get SMOKED" Clay is absolutely a good blocking TE yes. The asterisk here is that blocking TE's are not as good as they used to be. 15-20 years ago he would be considered poor
Pirate Angel Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I've never believed Newton as a top franchise QB. I know he won an MVP but he's been so inconsistent in his career that I can't call him elite or very good. I think he's a decent overall QB with flashes of greatness here and there. marcell Darius in quarterback form
YoloinOhio Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 @mikerodak McDermott: thought Newton looked like himself. Panthers were productive offensively last wk. #Bills
aristocrat Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Clay is Not a blocker. Can't remember the play yesterday but he got SMOKED in there somewhere. He needs to get some receptions down the middle. clay is one of the better blocking tight ends in the league.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 All we have to do is have TT throw to the middle against the best MLB in the game, and stop cam? Well when you say it like that... Why attack their strengths? Attack their weaknesses.
BillsFan17 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 If they follow the Jets model and get the ball out quickly, we could be in for a long day. While Cam did look rusty, he won't stay that way. He's a former league MVP and is not to be taken litely.
aristocrat Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 i didn't realize how bad of a year cam had last year. 3509 pass, 19/14 with a 52 percent comp percentage? wow.
