Dragonborn10 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Same reporter asked TT and McD about lack of WR targets compared to Clay and Shady. I'm not saying it is an unreasonable question. But it sounds like a question with an agenda as well. PS I love how TT handled the question about throwing over the middle with a sly smile and then saying "I slid for the first time"
Scott7975 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Jerry Sullivan. He's a complete d bag. I didn't even listen to or read any of the interviews yet. Soon as a seen the question that was my first thought. Big surprise there.
OhDozeBills Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I remember good 'ole Jerry Sullivan asking McD something like "Clay and McCoy had 15 targets and the WR group 7. You preach balance, is that balance"? He posed a similar question to TT. The guy is a hack!

PS I love how TT handled the question about throwing over the middle with a sly smile and then saying "I slid for the first time" The answer is obvious isn't it? WRs are all rookies and "JAGs". Clay is supposed to be an elite pass catching TE and a Shady is Shady. The question would be more legitimate if Watkins was still on the team. Edited September 11, 2017 by vincec
Zac Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 McBean watched there team go to the Super Bowl with Ted Ginn as their leading WR. I don't think things will change much going forward.
Scott7975 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 We have receivers? Well... Mathews did have more yards than Watkins today =p
bobobonators Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Jerry Sullivan does sound like a miserable SOB
vincec Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 (edited) McBean watched there team go to the Super Bowl with Ted Ginn as their leading WR. I don't think things will change much going forward. And the league MVP at quarterback, who was also one of their most dangerous runners. That was a one man offense and the Bills can't do that. They will need more balance, but if you don't have the guys who are you supposed to feature? Edited September 11, 2017 by vincec
JoeF Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 (edited) Jerry tweeted about the lack of WR throws at least once today during the game..I think he may have come into the game with an agenda...but the group is not a great one and he wants to keep stirring up how bad the Sammy trade is...it drives clicks and now $2.99 a month on-line subscribers... PromoTheRobot Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Jerry Sullivan. He's a complete d bag. Jerry tipped everyone off what tomorrow's column will be. He thinks he just saw the entire Bills playbook Sunday and he's declared it inadequate. He's just fishing for quotes he can use.

PromoTheRobot Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 (edited) Yeah, but you'll have to pay to read it. I already know what he'll say so...pass. McBeane are Jerry Sullivan's worst nightmare. A competent Bills regime. What will he write about now? Edited September 11, 2017 by PromoTheRobot

It's a valid question in today's NFL.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 It's a valid question in today's NFL. McDermott explained in his presser that the Jets were focused on taking the WRs away so they instead went to TEs and RBs.
Dorkington Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Why the hell do we care about who gets how many targets? As long as we get down the field and score, isn't that all that matters?
Lurker Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 McDermott explained in his presser that the Jets were focused on taking the WRs away so they instead went to TEs and RBs. Yep. But Sully wouldnt know a game plan from a house plan. No-nothing columnists like him and Little Bucky have been the downfall of the Snooze sports department...
Rob's House Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I think it's a fair question and coach had a good answer. It's not something to be overly concerned about after one game, but if a trend were to persist it would be a concern. You can't win consistently in the NFL without having your WRs more involved.

Exactly.
