Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 McCown cost the Bills Darnold Season isn't over yet, we didn't exactly dominate the "tanking" jets. Their guy Martin was causing havoc to the BILLS OLine. If Gaines is out we could really struggle in pass defense. Our pass rush wasn't on fire either. I think we are going to struggle most games.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 The Bills today made a very bad Jets team look competitive. 5 win team at best IMO. If McCoy wasn't on the roster they'd be in-line for the #1 overall pick. I guess the Steelers are a 5-win team too. They struggled to beat the Browns.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 ....too much newness starting with coaches to schemes to players to take much more away than the "W"....but it counts......

If McCoy wasn't on the roster they'd be in-line for the #1 overall pick. And if Brady wasn't on the Pat's they'd be bad. If Rogers wasn't on the Pack they'd be bad. What is the purpose of making a comment like that? Solid unspectacular win. Liked that TT used the middle of the field. Run game still good despite changing blocking scheme. Good run D.

Doesn't seem likes Green Bay ever runs the ball, and they wonder why they struggle in the playoffs.

The difference is he listed a game changing running back and you, two all pro QBs, one of which is possibly the GOAT. The difference is, we will still not be in contentention solely because of Shady but it is very possible the Packers and Patriots will be, just because of their QBs
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 ...8 different receivers in the mix and 190 yds rushing is not a bad opening day with all of the newness IMO.... I commend on the distribution a few times Sammy who? Being Tyrods main guy made him a crutch
Kelly the Dog Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I commend on the distribution a few times Sammy who? Being Tyrods main guy made him a crutch We had no down field game whatsoever and about five catches total from WR.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 @ESPNStatsInfo I posted that in a few threads as soon as the game was a lock. With 21-12 win vs Jets, Sean McDermott becomes first Bills coach in the SB era to win team debut (debuting coaches had been 0-10 in SB era).
Kemp Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 We now have an idea how Buffalo stacks up against the worst team in the NFL.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 rex v colts?NEW head coach. Rex wasn't a rookie

If any team Loses their best player they're in trouble.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Yeah. WTF ESPN?Again first time head coach.
Doc Brown Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 @ESPNStatsInfo With 21-12 win vs Jets, Sean McDermott becomes first Bills coach in the SB era to win team debut (debuting coaches had been 0-10 in SB era). Again first time head coach. I get that now but ESPN didn't say that. All those staff layoffs are starting to show.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 We had no down field game whatsoever and about five catches total from WR.Wait. Was Nate playing??? 😁😉 I'll take multiple 15 and 20 passes all day over 1 or 2 40+ Passes all day
John from Riverside Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Not a bad game overall. Nothing to get too excited about either way. Run defense looked good. Mccoy looked great. TT looked good. Nice start, next week will be a real test. I think one of the real positives is they actually looked prepared to play game 1 of this season....unlike last year when they looked like they really didnt want it.
Chandler#81 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 OMG! The callers to WGR55 post game! Please tell me people don't represent WNY!
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I get that now but ESPN didn't say that. All those staff layoffs are starting to show. LOL
