wiskibreth Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I predict this is his last year as a Bill. He can be traded next year, even with his contract, at only a 14.5 mil cap hit. I just think the writing is on the wall with this new regime... I agree, they'll move him pre-draft and eat the 14.2 dead cap in 2018. Dareus will be first team All-Pro this year and his contract will look like a bargain I bet they hope he does! That only makes him more tradeable for a higher pick.
nucci Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) Would anyone be willing to trade Dareus & 2nd rd pick to the Rams for Aaron Donald for someone who wants the same contract? Edited September 10, 2017 by nucci
starrymessenger Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) for someone who wants the same contract? Donald probably better deserves it. I don't have a problem with large contracts but before inking one the team has to understand who and exactly what they are buying. The Bills were on notice concerning Dareus. Chan would complain about always "having to stay on him". I remember a long soundbite where Drayton Florence dressed Marcel down on the sidelines saying he had to raise his head/motivation to the level of his talent or else etc...and that was in 2011 if memory serves. Would obviously love for the light to go on but I'm sceptical at this point. Looks to me like he's been paid and has lazed out. Someone mentioned Sapp. Thats the player Marcel could and should be but just isn't. Unless he turns it around big time I don't see Sean putting up with it. Kirby Jackson Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Could of had Patrick Peterson, Aj green or JJ watt...and we got this guy.Don't forget Julio!!
Boatdrinks Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 With 22 million in dead money he is going nowhere. Crappy contract!!!!! http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/marcell-dareus-7718/ They'll just eat the dead money for a year. They don't have any young talent that's about to get paid. Watkins was about it. Oddly enough they gave that money to an aging C with bad knees.
JohnBonhamRocks Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Dareus for Donald. Make it happen.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Ya Think?!? @RapSheet #Bills star DT Marcel Dareus faces a make-or-break year. He needs to show team brass that he's all in stick around: https://www.facebook.com/RapSheet/videos/1502608149805759/ ....designated June 1, 2019 cut I believe is the first time it is economically feasible (could be wrong though)......
artmalibu Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Im no cap pro but as I see the details he has to stay through next year, then the dead money decreases enough to do something. Cut or trade. Lets hope he plays somewhere near his potential, and no more suspensions. That is best case.
JerseyBills Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I expect Dareus to cause terror to opposing OLs yet again this year. Me too. Huge bounce back year. I expect we see it in about 35 minutes
26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 @haprusak Marcell Dareus is a full-go today after dealing with a hip injury last week. #Bills @WGRZ
JerseyBills Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 @haprusak Marcell Dareus is a full-go today after dealing with a hip injury last week. #Bills @WGRZ Agility for that size is unreal

On the field Dareus is 100% worth the money.

Coach Tuesday Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Dareus is barely trying out there today. What a waste of talent.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 Dareus is barely trying out there today. What a waste of talent. The Jets are doing next to nothing on offense and he's being rotated in with this being game 1.

KellyToughII Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 He hasn't done crap today I find this post completely baseless. On the field Dareus is 100% worth the money. The hell he is. What Maybe 10 plays a game he is and still not worth 100 Mill. This guy has NOT been worth the BS or the money he makes.

Heitz Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 99 not even in the stat line. The only time they mentioned his name was to say "We haven't event mentioned Dareus today.".
Pbomb Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 He does get doubled teamed on most plays and the jets only had 38 yds rushing so while he didnt make the highlight reel he probably did his job. No one could get any pressure, mccown was passing to quick
