26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Ya Think?!? @RapSheet #Bills star DT Marcel Dareus faces a make-or-break year. He needs to show team brass that he's all in stick around: https://www.facebook.com/RapSheet/videos/1502608149805759/
artmalibu Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 With 22 million in dead money he is going nowhere. Crappy contract!!!!! http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/marcell-dareus-7718/
Buddy Hix Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Every year is a make year for Dareus and a break year for the Bills and their fans thanks to that BS contract having no exit clauses for dumb ass behavior.
Gugny Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I am predicting that Dareus has a great season with no off-field issues (like 5/6 of his first six years in the league).
4merper4mer Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Make or break my foot. If the Bills ditch him, someone else will pay him. Sadly, he has zero risk.
LTarmy Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 If there is any way to get out of the contract (i.e. What Houston did with Brock Osweilier) they need to consider it. Whaley learned from Nix to mismanage the cap and contracts. This contract is horrible for a guy like Dareus as there is no accountability on his part. Maybe he will get it, but I doubt it. He hasn't yet.
Bronxbomber21 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Would anyone be willing to trade Dareus & 2nd rd pick to the Rams for Aaron Donald
Capco Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I expect Dareus to cause terror to opposing OLs yet again this year.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Could of had Patrick Peterson, Aj green or JJ watt...and we got this guy.
K D Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Make or break my foot. If the Bills ditch him, someone else will pay him. Sadly, he has zero risk. This is why some contracts should be performance based. Why does he need to show up on time to meetings and be a hard worker when he gets his 100 mil either way? Makes a person just put in the bare minimum effort. If it's not the Bills paying him someone else will. Could of had Patrick Peterson, Aj green or JJ watt...and we got this guy. We won meaningless games that year. 1 more L and we would have had Cam Newton. Keep that in mind this year when we are 4-9 and people are cheering for us to win out
BuffAlone Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I predict this is his last year as a Bill. He can be traded next year, even with his contract, at only a 14.5 mil cap hit. I just think the writing is on the wall with this new regime...
KellyToughII Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) With 22 million in dead money he is going nowhere. Crappy contract!!!!! http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/marcell-dareus-7718/ I don't buy it. We will have an estimated 37 mill in cap room. Beane said he isn't going to do big FA Splashes and rely on the draft. They CAN and possibly will get rid of Dareus and his big contract if he doesn't ball out this year. According to your link its an 11 mill cap hit next year if we do a June 1st designation and split it between 18' - 19'. Edited September 10, 2017 by KellyToughII

Dragonborn10 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Dareus will be first team All-Pro this year and his contract will look like a bargain

He is worth the boneheadedness in terms of having him with us and not against us with his talent.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Make or break my foot. If the Bills ditch him, someone else will pay him. Sadly, he has zero risk. Correct. Make or break for ... the Pegulas, who extended him? Doug Whaley? It's all make, no break for Marcell, whatever he chooses to do (or not do) on the field.
RalphWilson'sNewWar Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 It would be nice. With Kyle Williams gone after this season and potentially Dareus gone... That middle of the D-Line could go down in a blink.
NewMexBills Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Dareus B.I.G. needs to play up to his potential for us to be competitive this year on D
