Ty Law to meet with Bills Saturday?

Don't shoot the messenger but a poster at BB.com is saying that 97 rock is claiming they will meet Saturday and hope to sign him. I don't know if it's true and I don't know if I like it. He's a great player but again in the second half of his career like Drew, Milloy, and we have other pressing needs like an offensive line. Anyway for what it's worth.

The only way this could possibly be true is if we were contemplating trading Nate Clements.....Law has 2 maybe 3 good years left as a corner...we would have the "senile secondary" in 2 years with Law, Milloy, Vincent.

All of Nates salary escalator would be cap savings I think--Clumpy will correct me if I am wrong--but its base salary not a bonus.

I doubt this is true...but with TD you never know.

I havent heard any Law rumors except for Law and KC, personally being in NE and watching Law play I would love to have him on the otherside of Clements and give Mcgee some time to grow in nickle and dime packages. Honestly, I thought he would have been released last year and we would have signed him. I was also thinking maybe we were going after him since we lost Williams we know Law needs to be paid.

tired of the New England cast offs

Bledsoe--okay I can buy this one.

Milloy--We were I think 8-3 with Lawyer in the lineup this year...he will be effective for the remainder of his contract. He cost us nothing in terms of picks or players...and got Coy Wire out of the first team D....

Batting .500 in personnel decisions isn't bad....

That's the only thing I can think of if this is true....maybe TD knows he won't be able to keep Clements but he better have a trade, plan or something for this OLine because if he ignores it again and spends up all the cap money on Defense and the O-line struggles which it may their will be some angry confused fans.

This HAS to be false - there is just no way. TD isn't gonna be throwing money at high-profile players on the defensive side of the ball - what would be the point? We had arguably the best D in the League last year and we didn't make the playoffs. Plus, TD already said he plans to upgrade the offense first and foremost.

No way.

Was he seen at the airport with George Seifert?

Your not going to believe this but YES I guess WGR (We know how acurate they are!) is saying that he was at the airport with Milloy which doesn't prove a thing. Again posted at BB.com .

We''ll see what Ty Law's market value is, but if the Bills' medical staff thinks that he will fully recover this year, then this could be a great signing.

You never pass up the opportunity to make your team better, and Law instantly improves the quality of our defense, and adds a game-changing playmaker to our team. Adding Law could easily add +1 to our win total for next year.

And yes, with Clements coming up for a payday, it does give us a little bit of insurance if we can't resign him.
