Big C Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Not to mention ... that has got to hurt like all sorts of hell. And he still gave the team a postgame speech!
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Not to mention ... that has got to hurt like all sorts of hell. I had a friend who tore his Achilles. He Said it felt like someone kicked him really hard in the bottom of his calf muscle.
aristocrat Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Remember when Stevie tore berrys acl too? I mean this guy just gets major injuries all over the place and comes back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
26CornerBlitz Posted September 8, 2017 Author Posted September 8, 2017 This won't be his toughest challenge. @RapSheet #Chiefs S Eric Berry, who signed a 6-year, $78M contract in Feb, beat cancer to be a Pro Bowler. Little doubt he can return from an Achilles
Magox Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Truly awful. But guys like him overcome. It's in their DNA. He's a winners winner.
Captain_Quint Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 He handled Gronk really well last night. As good as Ive seen someone cover him when hes completely healthy. Its one thing to shut Gronk down when hes all beat up and injured (like he usually is), but he was healthy and didn't do a whole lot.
Watkins90 Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 yep. My buddy is a huge Chiefs fan. Texting with him and it just sucks that this has to come along with their huge win. Made a deal with the Devil, he always has his price.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 As someone who has torn their Achilles, that really sucks. But Derrick Johnson has come back from 2 Achilles tears. He is a great player and seems to be having awful luck. I wish him the best.
Fadingpain Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 This had the look and feel of "done for the year" when it happened last night. I hate to see that look on these guys' faces...
4merper4mer Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 This had the look and feel of "done for the year" when it happened last night. I hate to see that look on these guys' faces... I could tell by the trainer's faces. Total bummer for a great player.
Sherlock Holmes Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 He handled Gronk really well last night. As good as Ive seen someone cover him when hes completely healthy. Its one thing to shut Gronk down when hes all beat up and injured (like he usually is), but he was healthy and didn't do a whole lot. Only Luke Kuechly has handled Gronk like that.
BrooklynBills Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Great player. I understand he beat cancer, but we'll see if he comes back as the same player, i.e. one of the more dynamic defensive backs in the game. Much harder for DBs, RBs, and WRs to return to form after this injury. He also had a torn ACL in the same leg a few years back also.
John from Riverside Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Not to mention ... that has got to hurt like all sorts of hell. Same thing that ended Kobe Bryant's career....up until that point the man was indestructable
Gugny Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Same thing that ended Kobe Bryant's career....up until that point the man was indestructible John - we're all waiting for you to update the damn dating thread.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Great player. Saxum Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Well he was available for most important game of the year and now it will make it likely Bills pick from them will be better. I do not think it a coincidence that after the game Jaguars claiming former first-round draft pick, safety Calvin Pryor, off waivers from the Cleveland Browns. Now they have some ammunition for trade!
RaoulDuke79 Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Hate to see that. High character guy who battled through and beat the big C..hopeful for a speedy and full recovery.
Saint Doug Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Really sucks for a player to miss out on a whole season, but since they clobbered the Pats, then can now start their losing ways.
