ROCBillsBeliever Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 (edited) Who is paying to read sad sap Sully's downerism? http://buffalonews.com/subscribe-bills/ Tell me: who? I can imagine some kid in Buffalo, begging his parents for a subscription this Christmas... Yeah... And Thad Lewis will be our starter in 2018. Edited September 6, 2017 by ROCBillsBeliever
Norwood for Wall of Fame Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Being a Bills fan gets harder all the time.
billsintaiwan Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Wondered the same thing. Better stuff from Rochester and Syracuse papers as well as many other outlets. Now asking punters to pay to read BNBlitz? Silly. Very short-sighted.
BillsFan4 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 WTF? When did this start? I was just reading articles on there yesterday. Well, I guess I am done reading BN Blitz then...
BaaadThingsMan Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Who cares. Don't, won't haven't read the BN in years
4_kidd_4 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 It's all mostly cabbage anyways. Plus if I want to read any of it that badly i'll just "borrow" a hard copy from the lobby at work. Sully or no Sully, I'm not paying for that.

That schiit must have just started I was reading hockey stuff on there yesterday
Magox Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Why does anyone need to get a subscription to read J. Sullivan when there are 100 curmudgeonly sort of clones here on TBD?
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 pay to read stuff you can get for free? hahahahahahahahahahaahaha J. Sullivan The Bills are bad, inept, guaranteed suckitude.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Actually every BN article I clicked on got the pay for access thing. Are they trying this again? I recall back about 2 years or so you got like 10 articles free a month or something, then no more access without paying. Seemed like eventually they gave up on it, maybe they are trying again. Actually when they started limiting access (as did Roch D&C) I started reading the Syracuse articles much more. Just can't see in this day and age with as much free stuff as there is out there, anyone hardly paying for a subscription. Seems they'll lose more viewers than having articles with ads?? The local newspaper for the city that I live in limits you to I think 3 articles per week. So instead read the articles on the TV station websites.
chef4131 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I am noticing a trend with sports writers to offer a mailbag "article" in place of actually having to create an informative/thoughtful article. Much easier to let the readers help create your article for you.....
Rico Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Hate to say it, but right now you don't really need Sully's takes. No more Ralph, Brandon's irrelevant, and Whaley's gone (with help from Sully running him out of town). His job is done for now.

Ad block and clearing your cookies have you unlimited access. Looks like they are trying to be more strict with access for no apparent reason other than "the season is about to start, let's make all of it content paid subscription!". It's a smart move to get revenue from outside the buffalo area but a dick move also.
T-Bomb Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Who the hell bothers with local news these days anyways? Heck, who even bothers with cable "news" these days?
Captain Murica Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I honestly just go to twitter for my updates/Bills news. Unless its an article that intrigues me. Then I'll refer to Buffalorumblings.
eball Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Haven't clicked on a Sully or Bucky link in nearly a year. Don't plan to change that anytime soon.
CardinalScotts Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 guys between the ages of 55-75 who find him funny, or "Jerry tells it like it is" and are more or less idiots
