JPL7 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I thought this would be a fun topic to banter about. How would you rank the starting QB's we have had since Jimbo retired? Boy, is this list cringe worthy... Todd Collins Alex Van Pelt Doug Flutie Rob Johnson Drew Bledsoe JP Losman Kelly Holcomb Trent Edwards Ryan Fitzpatrick Brian Brohm EJ Manuel Thad Lewis Jeff Tuel Kyle Orton Matt Cassel Tyrod TaylorI would say my top 5 would be: Bledsoe, Fitz, Tyrod, Flutie, TrentBottom of the barrel: Brohm, Tuel, CasselGO BILLS!!!
The Frankish Reich Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Ouch. What a list. I guess I'd go: 1. Bledsoe 2. Tyrod 3. Orton 4. Flutie 5. Fitz And after that, there's really not much to separate #6 from #16, but I'm pretty confident that Joe Webb would set a new floor if given the chance.
Rob's House Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 1. Flutie 2. Orton 3. Bledsoe 4. Taylor 5. Fitz No one else worth ranking.
Coach55 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Flutie Tyrod Fitz Bledsoe AVP Yes Bledsoe that low. Flutie was the only real winning QB in this era (Orton had a winning record as well, but. No.)
MAJBobby Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) 1 Bledsoe 2 Flutie 3 Fitz 4 Taylor 5 Orton 6 Edwards Only reason Orton is 5th is because only one year here Edited September 4, 2017 by MAJBobby
frostbitmic Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Billie Joe Hobert Craig Nall Trent Edwards
The Frankish Reich Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Flutie Tyrod Fitz Bledsoe AVP Yes Bledsoe that low. Flutie was the only real winning QB in this era (Orton had a winning record as well, but. No.) I like that Alex Van Pelt is the 5th best starting QB we've had in the last 20 years. 3-8 career W-L, 64.1 QBR. And here's the thing - I can't really make a great argument that you're wrong.
Augie Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I don't want to play this game......it makes me sad!
The Wiz Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I don't want to play this game......it makes me sad! : robot voice : the only winning move is not to play
CDogg20 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Flutie Bledsoe Orton Taylor Fitz Bledsoes 2002 season was great but after that he was just meh.
RaoulDuke79 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Bledsoe Flutie Fitz Taylor Orton For some reason or another I enjoyed watching the games when Fitz and Orton were playing even though the teams may not have been as good.
Sandy McFiddish Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Billie Joe Hobert Craig Nall Trent Edwards Lol Bledsoe Flutie Taylor Fitz Orton Wow what a crappy list
The Frankish Reich Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Bledsoe Flutie Fitz Taylor Orton For some reason or another I enjoyed watching the games when Fitz and Orton were playing even though the teams may not have been as good. I agree. I think it was the "I don't know what the hell I'm going to get" factor.
Kirby Jackson Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) Flutie Taylor Fitz Bledsoe Orton I beg you guys to go back and look at Bledsoe's Bills tenure after the 1st half of the 1st year. He was AWFUL. We remember his tenure way more fondly than we should. Edited September 4, 2017 by Kirby Jackson
r00tabaga Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Taylor 1a Flutie 1b Bledsoe 3 Fitz 4 Orton 5
RaoulDuke79 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I agree. I think it was the "I don't know what the hell I'm going to get" factor. I think that was part of it. I liked the Stevie Johnson and fitz chemistry too.
Domdab99 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 My rankings: Tyrod Taylor Doug Flutie Drew Bledsoe Ryan Fitzpatrick Rob Johnson Trent Edwards Kyle Orton JP Losman The rest of them tie for last place. Todd Collins Alex Van Pelt Kelly Holcomb Brian Brohm EJ Manuel Thad Lewis Jeff Tuel Matt Cassel
